Being listed as a DB/RB prospect, Lamar McInnis saw the majority of his reps on Saturday playing in the secondary, where he flashed potential as a Nickel DB. McInnis played well as an overhang defender against the slot receivers, being able to jam receivers off their routes and disrupt the timing with the QBs trying to hit their targets just as they break on their routes. McInnis showed solid footwork, and gives little separation, being able to stay toe-to-toe with quicker WRs on their routes. He could use some more bulk to handle playing as an outside CB, but McInnis possesses the skills to stand out in the secondary going forward, and Crown sees that ability as well, with McInnis receiving his first offer from the Polars shortly after his appearance.
