Now that I'm finally back in North Carolina, we can go a bit deeper with our coverage. I'm going to drop top 10 lists by position for some of the counties around me in the Raleigh-Durham area, much like Matt Morrow has done in Charlotte. In these articles, we will share why these players are ranked and their best attributes as potential college-level football players in their respective futures.

Let's get to it. First up, the Wake County quarterbacks.

Jones might have an argument as the best "in-phase" passer in the state. He's known less for highlight-reel scrambles and throws and more for just being a guy who can deliver with precision and accuracy to all fields with consistency. He's right around a 70% completion with a 64-to-8 touchdown-to-interception ratio over the last two seasons. That'll work for college coaches, even if he's undersized.

Williams knows how to make good decisions and take care of the ball. However, he's at his best when the play breaks down. That's when the ridiculous arm talent and ability to throw from non-traditional arm angles shows up the most. He's a guy who could really explode with more volume. He's only a sophomore, after all.

It's finally Sevilla's time. A guy who has been on the radar for years, Sevilla was mainly used as a change-of-pace runner last season. Now, he should be the full-time starter and can display the arm talent we've already seen in camps. Sevilla is a true dual-threat who is shifty as a runner and throws an excellent deep ball as a passer.

The only rising sophomore on this list, El-Amin made All-Conference as a freshman despite playing only half the season. He's a guy who puts the ball in a spot that not only allows his receivers to catch it, but where they can turn upfield to gain extra yardage. His arm talent is impressive, especially for his age.

Gray split time at quarterback with another guy who also makes this top 10 list. With great size, the ball jumps out of Gray's hand when he lets it fly. I thought he was a bit hesitant at times last season to trust his elite arm talent. As he gets more comfortable with letting the ball rip, he's going to be in the position to have a huge season.

Honorable Mentions

[player_tooltip player_id='651120' first='Cooper' last='Pleasants'], Wakefield: Pleasants has excellent arm talent, a guy we've seen in camp settings, and he's just waiting for his turn after sitting behind two seniors last season. This could be the year that he gets that opportunity. Expect him to take it and run with it.

[player_tooltip player_id='1654254' first='Jackson' last='Tolbert'], Sanderson: Tolbert wasn't asked to do too much last serason, attempting just over 15 passes a game, but he answered the call when given the chance with a solid seven-to-three touchdown-to-interception ratio. He has great size and doesn't make many mistakes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1625015' first='Christian' last='Ormandy'], Garner Magnet: Ormandy showed off his legs in his second season as a starter, running for over 200 yards and five touchdowns as a sophomore. He's a guy who probably isn't close to hitting his ceiling and when he takes care of the ball, he's one of the best passers in the area.

[player_tooltip player_id='1654275' first='Austin' last='Battle'], Millbrook: After splitting time with Gray, Battle enters his senior year looking to solidify himself as an excellent college prospect. He's a good decision-maker with the ability to push the ball down the field and a willingness to pick up tough yards on the ground.

[player_tooltip player_id='651090' first='Devin' last='Shoulars'], South Garner: It's all upside for Shoulars right now, as he hasn't gotten many on-field reps. But, he's an extremely athletic, physical quarterback. The athletic profile and arm talent are tantalizing. If he can be a good decision-maker, he can turn heads this fall.
