Most High School Football Players' best season is their senior season. Four years of extremely hard work leads up to this final ride. Right now, the class of 2026 is in the midst of their final offseason, and just on the horizon is the start of the 2025 season.

Here are five running backs who I expect to make strides this offseason, leading to standout senior seasons.

Tomarion is one of those guys that has shown improvement each and every year. Last season was his best one yet. Though, there's still a good bit to clean up heading into next season.

Last season, Tomarion did a great job of running downhill with a ton of power. Plus, we saw a little more elusiveness and better vision than in years past.

Next season, I expect him to put it all together. Another step forward in contact balance, open field elusiveness, and vision should make for several more explosive TD runs. Those 20-yard runs could turn into 50-yard TDs, and the 3-5 yard runs could turn into 10-yard runs. Plus, if I had to put a number on it, I'd predict Tomarion to run for at least 1300 yards next season.

Owen was a severely underrated RB last season. He has a major part of Hudsonville's success, and even had a great 93-yard game in the State Championship.

Haarsma makes his $$$ via his speed. He's not going to truck or siff arm many people, but he will outrun the vast majority of Varsity defenders. Many, many instances of explosive straight-line TDs from last season. Though, there's still room to improve.

If Owen is able to continue upgrading his open-field elusiveness while perhaps adding a bit of muscle, he'd be unstoppable. A little more contact balance and power would significantly increase his stock!

Last season, Zeeland West proved that they were far and away the best team in Division 3. Even against teams that got a ton more media buzz, the Dux got the job done.

They get it done because of a sound scheme, and guys like [player_tooltip player_id='1543095' first='Jonah' last='Leslie']. Last season, Jonah was a solid role player who earned a handful of carries every game. In the State Championship game, he earned 5 carries and gained 17 yards.

With the graduation of some RBs. Jonah should be set up for an increased role. That, plus another offseason under Jonah's belt, he should be a much-improved player. I'm expecting a career season from Jonah!

Jeremiah is an absolute tank at RB. His highlights are a fun watch. Play after play, you can see Jeremiah bowling over people, laying stiff arms, and showing good contact balance.

There aren't many pure Power RBs in Michigan. Jeremiah is a rare breed and he's very good at what he does. Though, this offseason could be a turning point for him. With a bit better speed, Jeremiah could burst onto the scene as a true college prospect. Regardless, if he makes sure that he's in great shape this Spring / Summer, Jeremiah could be a phenomenal player this Fall.

Tasso flew under the radar (at least for me) up until a couple months ago. Last season, Tasso proved that he could be a great 3-down RB in Michigan's Division 1. His highlights show a great mix of vision, elusiveness, and speed. Several highlights show extremely patient running- Tasso is great at waiting for his blocks to develop, then bursting into the open once a hole opens up. Plus, he's shifty enough to make LBs/DLs miss in the box.

I would love to see a touch more speed, and better contact balance. With a little bit of improvement in those areas, Tasso could raise his floor by a ton.
