As an edge player, he is hard to block because of his physical traits. Standing 6'4" inches tall Parkinson is able to be disruptive against offensive tackles. He also has a good plan every time he attacks offensive linemen. He shows good technique as he uses his hands well to rip through offensive linemen trying to block. He also has a motor that never quits and he does a good job chasing plays all over the field. He was especially good on contested catches by going up high to make big plays. As an edge player, he used that same speed and athleticism to cause issues for opposing offenses. His speed off the edge is impressive as he constantly chases plays all over the field. At the defensive line, he shows off good strength as he fires off the ball and does an excellent job of getting into the offensive backfield by bull-rushing offensive lineman. He is also a good athlete who moves well as he shows off his speed when he rushes the quarterback. As an offensive tackle, he shows that same athleticism, and he excels at pulling and blocking defenders on the edge.
