The newly committed West Virginia commit was his usual dominant player on Friday night. Harrisburg moved him all over the field on offense, as at times he played as a tight end and at his normal right tackle position. He was outstanding, blocking all night for Harrisburg. His ability to pull on counters was impressive as he used his feet and athleticism to block at a high rate. He also played as a defensive tackle and was able to be a run stuffer for Harrisburg. Brown is a great player.

Kevin Brown Kevin Brown 6'5" | 270 lbs | OL Harrisburg | 2026 State PA is one of the best prospects in the state and the best offensive lineman in the 2026 class. The Penn State commit is an outstanding athlete with excellent strength. His ability to move for someone his size (6’5″) is impressive. In fact, during a playoff game, I saw him play fullback at times. Brown is an outstanding prospect who should be able to play at Penn State at a high level.

Wow, what a performance from the top prospect in the 2026 class. Coming off a broken foot injury from earlier this year and playing in his 1st game Brown played all over the field for Harrisburg. He played at his normal offensive tackle position, but for several snaps, they moved him to the backfield as a fullback. He was the lead blocker for Messiah Mickens Messiah Mickens 5'11" | 200 lbs | RB Harrisburg | 2026 State PA . Seeing someone at 6’5 inches tall lead blocking for a running back was an impressive effort. Brown’s ability to move his feet and drive defenders off the ball was amazing. Penn State is getting a great player.

The top-ranked prospect in all of Pennsylvania (2026). I was upset to pull up to Cumberland Valley to see Brown in a boot, injury derailing much of Brown’s 2024 season. His absence has obviously hampered Harrisburg’s ability to run the football at the highest of its capabilities. Having Brown back and 100% would likely put them back in 6A title contention. I’m out of the loop on a timetable as well as severity concerning Brown’s injury.

Despite the lack of time, it’s unlikely he falls from the one spot, although it will play a factor come ranking decision time.

Been quite a long time since we last checked in on Kevin Brown Kevin Brown 6'5" | 270 lbs | OL Harrisburg | 2026 State PA . Brown is the leading candidate to take over the number one spot on our rankings this coming update, yet the debate as to who deserves it most is still being discussed among colleagues each passing day.

March was the month that answered a glaring question. Why hadn’t Kevin Brown Kevin Brown 6'5" | 270 lbs | OL Harrisburg | 2026 State PA , despite carrying the best tape in the state, not seen back scholarship opportunities from the SEC? March came along with offers out of Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and Notre Dame. I admittedly withheld Brown from taking the one spot on our ranks because of the lack of SEC interest, I was wrong on this and should have trusted my eyes and gut. Won’t be making that mistake again. Tape so good anyone’s mother could scout this elite talent. In April, Tennessee and Miami pulled the trigger on the Harrisburg product. Come just last week, Kentucky came through the building to throw their name in the Brown hat. Expect Brown to reach 30+ offers before September comes around.

Recruiting Update: Kevin Brown Kevin Brown 6'5" | 270 lbs | OL Harrisburg | 2026 State PA has recently blown up and gotten several Division One offers. He recently picked up offers from Miami, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. He is starting to gain a ton of momentum on the national level.

Recruiting Question: Where does the momentum stop? Brown has gained a ton of offers lately around the nation. I can see many more coming his way as well. Brown is one of the best prospects in Pennsylvania and his final decision will be watched very closely.

I also mentioned Brown on the offensive side, but he deserves recognition for his defense. On the year has has over 10 sacks and has constantly been a disruption in the backfield as well. Brown also has a motor that never stops. Finally, a super impressive effort to play both sides of the ball as a Sophomore and be as dominant as he has been.
