, the former Penn State commit, was outstanding as a running back and outside linebacker. As a running back, he constantly had good runs all night. He also scored a touchdown late for 60 yards and from 1 yard out. He rushed for over 200 yards as he was Harrisburg’s battering ram all night. As an outside linebacker, he showed range and made plays all over the field. Mickens is considering several schools, and whoever gets him will be getting a talented running back.

Ole Miss/Oklahoma are lead candidates to flip the former Penn State commit. Recently visited Oklahoma, hearing Virginia Tech could make a serious run with the addition of Coach Franklin.

got that right, but there is no way he should not be a top 10-ranked player. Watching him play live shows his size, strength, and speed combination. Penn State is again getting a good player.

is a Penn State commit and one of the top players in Pennsylvania. Mickens is a bowling ball at running back. He is a physical runner who is hard to bring down. Rarely one person can tackle him. He also greatly understands how to run through contact and gain positive yards every time he carries the ball. He also has a great burst and speed when he hits the hole. Mickens is a difference-maker and helped Harrisburg win a District Title this season.

is playing as a man possessed by Harrisburg. In Saturday’s win over Wilson, he put on a show. He had two rushing touchdowns and was the leading rusher for Harrisburg. Then, playing as an outside linebacker, he had 3 sacks on the day. Mickens continues to make plays on both sides. I am impressed with his ability to make plays on defense. Mickens is showing he is a great player.

is the top prospect at running back in the 2026 class and he showed it during Friday’s victory over Manheim Township. Mickens is a tough and physical running back. He is hard to bring down, and defenders struggle to bring him to the ground. The other thing he does well is he shows excellent patience. The Penn State commit also played well on defense as an outside linebacker. He is excellent at reading his keys and triggering downhill to make tackles. He could have a future as a linebacker in college if he chooses that route.

The Penn State commit and top-ranked back sparked a comeback against Cumberland Valley. Mickens was the spark necessary to lift Harrisburg against CV, with Mickens providing huge energy plays on both sides of the ball. Two rushing touchdowns, two sacks, multiple run stops from his backer position, Mickens stood out the way a top-ranked prospect should, albeit not enough to down Cumberland Valley at home.
I don’t look for 300-yard nights, 5-sack performances when watching a household name live. Is your impact on the football game inevitable? Can you leave an imprint on the game regardless of scheme, reps, or game plan? It’s safe to say Mickens checked off that box for me. It’ll be tough to leave Mickens out of our top 5 this coming update.
