‘s tape has him operating out of a two-point stance in a traditional OLB role. At 6’1, 205 pounds, I likely should have ranked Kostyak as a backer to more accurate describe his game to coaches. Would still place as a top-five backer if I were to make that change. Great through the second-half of his reps. A phenomenal finisher once he smells blood in the water. I think Kostyak has a ways to go to improve at the snap, I can say the same for pretty much any underclassmen working inside the defensive front. Where Kostyak flashes brilliance is in pursuit. Once he disengages, once he can shed properly, he flashes advanced pursuit and closing speed. I can feel better about his gracious ranking so long as Kostyak can improve on a great freshman campaign. Would love to see him in person.

is a good edge player for Beaver. His ability to make plays from a stand-up end position is impressive. I like the way he fires off the ball and how he puts pressure on offenses. He shows good athleticism and constantly makes plays all over the field. His motor never stops as he chases a lot of plays down with his hustle. But not to be forgotten is that he is an elite athlete. With that athletic ability and effort he shows he is a dynamic player.

flashed some serious skills at defensive end last year. He has a good combination of strength and athleticism to play defensive end. Kostyak is a menace in the backfield. He several times created turnovers by rushing the quarterback. He also has a motor that never stops and he chases plays all over the field. Kostyak is a talented player who plays well at defensive end.

– Defensive end/tight end prospect from Beaver Area that has continued to grow and stretch out, listed at 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds unofficially
– A very similar skill set on both side of the ball to GCC’s

, but I think I give Kostyak the nod defensively (and Stinnett the nod offensively). On film, Kostyak is approaching “don’t run to that side” level with the chaos he is causing off the edge
– Keeps offensive tackles off balance with his push/pull moves and the different angle he attacks the edge. He uses his hands exceptionally and has obviously been coached up on some of the idiosyncrasies of the position
– His athleticism is fun to watch as a defensive end; Gets his hands on a number of passes by stretching out his arm and tipping the ball. Can go from a stand-up rusher to putting his hand in the dirt interchangeably, which is quite advanced for this stage
