It was brief, it was only a call, but he said that he would be coming to Malvern Prep in person soon.
What did Coach Belichick like about you and/or your game?
They liked my physicality and my mind for the game.
On a more personal front, what does earning a scholarship offer from UNC mean to you?
Receiving an offer from UNC means a lot. It’s a great school academically and athletic. They are also rebuilding under a new amazing coach so I’m sure the best is yet to come.
Where does this stack up in personal moments?
This is definitely up there with some of the coolest stuff that’s ever happened to me.

The month of October has brought with it two major Big Ten scholarship offers the way of Malvern Prep’s Jackson Samules Ford. We ranked JSF inside the top ten this past offseason, the offers coming in are proving our projection to be correct.
The University of Wisconsin, as well as the University of Minnesota, offered Ford this time a week ago. The laundry list of offers is growing, a list including West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Michigan, and Boston College, just to name a few. The list will continue to grow, we have yet to see the SEC reach out via scholarship offer, I’d figure Ford breaks into that tier sooner rather than later.

has National Prospect written all over him. The 2026 prospect is ranked as the #1 TE in PA. His first offer was received back in June 2023 when Maryland pulled the trigger on him. He wasn’t again offered until Kent State decided to join in his recruitment on 5/1. From there it starts to take off. Howard offers (5/1), West Virginia (5/2), Pitt (5/8), Virginia Tech (5/14), and Colorado State (6/18).
Since 2026’s have been able to be contacted by colleges coaches Ford has received love from multiple programs. Penn State, Syracuse, Wisconsin, Pitt, and Kentucky have all shown interest in the top 2026 TE. I’m excited to see where his recruitment goes as I believe it is only the start of something special!

blowing up a bit. This was to be expected, as JSF is a lock for Power Four attention before announcing he’d be developed/groomed underneath the Malvern Prep umbrella, even more of a lock after. Listed as the top TE prospect in his class, will make the move to OL/DL on our lists and still crack our Top 20. Five of the six offers you see below came to Ford’s doorstep in the month of May.

I’ve pounded the table for the young man and will continue to do so. Ranked inside the top 20 of his class, has a serious future at TE, OL, or DL at Malvern Prep, the versatility is what likely draws interest from FBS teams. Samuels Ford picked up offers out of Kent State and Howard University today, bumping his offer total to three, the first of 2024. This is a young man in line to reap rewards in the coming months. With showcases, serious programs coming to check out the plethora of prospects Malvern Prep deploys, the 6’5, 230-pound two-way prospect is bound to draw important eyes. Happy to see him have a great day in recruiting.

If the Malvern Prep, top-ranked 2026 TE attends your camp, be sure to highlight his name, you won’t regret it. 6’5, 230, TE skills strapped to a build that could transition well to the DL/OL. The type of prospect coaches at the FBS-level drool over, a moldable young man who hasn’t reached half of his potential yet. Knowing who is developing him, knowing some of the goals he and his family have placed on himself, Ford is likely to be an automatic offer this time next year. I stress coaches to see his athletic profile and potential and pull the trigger early, particularly this offseason when he begins camping at college circuits.

Kerchner narrowly beat out Jackson Ford based on 1v1s from what I’m told. That being said, I can’t overlook how well Jackson Ford looked during testing, both get the 1st-team nod. Sub 5.0 40, weighing in at 235, a real 6’5 too. Probably the best pair of TEs to come through our camp, outside of Chester’s
