I heard a buzz about Kael in the summer potentially taking over for [player_tooltip player_id='954389' first='Diesel' last='Taylor'] after transferring, and needless to say the kid answered the bell and proved to be a top QB in the state as a sophomore, as the ceiling looks high for this kid. Excellent pocket presence and maturity already, as he shows the ability to step up, slide, climb, or scramble out. Smooth release with the ability to hit throws with finesse with ease, and did a great job delivering accurate throws with timing all year. I love his ability to recognize and hit those hole shots vs a Cover 2 look, flashing a solid football IQ. He currently holds offers from Arizona, Oregon State, Utah, Boise State, and UAB, but I expect that list to grow dramatically here soon.

As a junior, Vehrs led Basha to an open division state championship appearance and put himself on the map in one of highest regarded programs in the state, and filled some big shoes to say it lightly. He threw for 2,900 yards and 27 TD's, and did a great job taking care of the ball with only 2 INT's. The two things that stand out the most to me are his ability to deliver accurate throws off platform with ease, and the ability to extend and create plays- showing legit escape artist ability. Kid is just a playmaker and always seems to make something happen downfield. He currently holds an offer from Southern Utah.

Farrell is one of the fastest rising prospects in the state right now, pulling in offers from Utah, Minnesota, Washington, Oregon State, and Arizona. HE sizes up with a slender frame and build at 6'5" 180lbs with room to add mass. A southpaw with a natural arm talent with the ability to hit all 3 levels of throws with velocity or touch. Quick, snappy release as he truly looks like a raw talent. Continuing to rave about his arm talent, he does a great job throwing strikes into tight windows or stretching the field vertically 50+ yards. Quick developing kid with loads of potential that schools should be all over.

Mencl is a kid that I think is about to see a major rise in his stock and his numbers. In my opinion, this is the most under looked big school QB in the state, holding just two offers thus far from Colorado State and Minnesota. He'll pass the eye test with his 6'4" 205lb frame with good length. Excellent poise and demeanor in the pocket to stay calm and collected and deliver throws with excellent timing. He shows that quick, zip release on tight window quick throws, but can also sit back-climb up and deliver those intermediate throws and deep 3 balls with ease. Tons of tools in the box for this kid with a very high ceiling moving forward.

Penrod created a buzz last year by leading Cesar Chavez to a 7-3 record and putting them back on the map. He did a great job throwing the deep ball on those outside vertical routes, showing the ability to hit hole shots on a 2-ball or throw with touch and air it out on a 3-ball down the field in stride. Very underrated as a runner, as he's athletic enough to pick up yards with his legs and runs with a purpose- not shying away to put a shoulder down and keep momentum forward within his 6'3" 205lb frame.
