The UA Next 8th Grade All-American Game took place during the first week of January 2025. While the overwhelming bulk of the rosters were made up of prospects from Texas, California, Florida and Georgia, there were prospects from a number of states listed. Below are the 2029 prospects (as of January 2025) from Texas that were selected to the game.

The Plano native is one of the most athletic Edge/Outside Linebacker prospects in the country for the class of 2029. Great instincts coming off the Edge, uses his eyes and hands well to feel plays and pressure. Closes fast and is rarely out of position because to make a play. Makes plays with both football moves and straight hustle. As of January 2025, Prince is also the Schimelpfenig Middle School record holder in the Long Jump, 4x100 meter and 4x200 meter.

Patterson is a really good looking prospect at both Running Back and Defensive Back, as of January 2025. In 2024, his reported regular season stats were wild with 2,200+ all-purpose yards and 21 total touchdown. At the UA Next 8th Grade All-American Game, Patterson was named one of four team captains for Team Unstoppable. In the tilt he played Cornerback and was tried early and often, coming away with four pass break ups.

Williams was the smallest player on the field at the UA Next 8th Grade All-American Game, listed on the roster at just 5-foot-5 and 130-pounds. While he doesn't have All-American size as of January 2025, he certainly checks the All-American box in terms of speed, quickness and most of all--route running. The Hays Middle School product is uber twitchy and can shake defenders worse than an Allen Iverson crossover. His sudden movements and ability to change direction on a dime, make him a menace when creating after after the catch.

Texas is a huge state and serves as home to thousands of talented football players, however, from what I've seen in this 2029 class, [player_tooltip player_id='1140378' first='Sukora' last='Cooper Jr.'] is unquestionably near the top when looking at Wide Receivers. I've had coaches talking to me about Cooper Jr. since he was in sixth-grade and the Life Oak Cliff prospect has proven everybody correct up to this point. With a Prep Redzone Next Middle School Camp MVP under his belt, he's now standing 6-foot-1 and 165-pounds, with verified 4.5 speed in the forty yard dash. Cooper Jr. been a human cheat code throughout his middle school career. Offer now!

As of January 2025, there aren't too many Running Backs that are more 3D (disciplined, dependable and dangerous) than Coppell Middle School North's LaKenton Jackson. Literally looks like he's carved out of stone with an action figure build at 5-foot-9 and 175-pounds. Was good for multiple rushing or returning touchdowns per game in 2024. Balance and explosion are elite. Blends strength and physicality with Junior Olympian track speed. Consistently ran through arm tackles and either created, or found, running lanes between the tackles.

One of only two Wide Receivers on Team Unstoppable in the UA Next 8th Grade All-American Game that were not over the 6-foot mark, White more than made/makes up for it with his ability. On film his foot work, balance and route running all look very good. He recently won the MVP award at the PRZ Next camp and scouts stated that, "...the most dominant player on the field, he showcased superb route-running, quickly and smoothly getting in and out of his breaks while staying under control."

One of the more pure Cornerbacks in the state of Texas for the class of 2029. Fundamentally he's as good as I've seen when it comes to staying low in a back pedal, planting a foot and changing direction. Plays instinctually and has the innate natural ability to know when to go for the INT or play the man. As of January 2025, he looks most comfortable and appears to be the biggest threat when he can play man-up on the outside and get aggressive with the sideline acting as another defender.

The UA Next 8th Grade All-American Game is an opportunity for some of the country's best middle school talent to make an introduction to the next level; You can check that off the list of things accomplished by Cunningham, who hauled in two interceptions in the contest. Looks excellent as a Free Safety and plays an opportunistic style of football. The Crowley, TX native has a ton of range and is bordering on elite when it comes to coming over the top and providing bracket coverage on Wide Receivers attempting to go deep.

A year ago, as a seventh-grader at the Prep Redzone Next Middle School Camp, the world should have been awoken to the ability that [player_tooltip player_id='1140385' first='Jarell' last='Scott'] has. After dominating our camp, he went on to have a stellar year at Hopewell Middle School in Round Rock, Texas, as both a Defensive Lineman and a Running Back--believe it or not. After seeing him last year, I said he could play either Defensive End or on the interior defensive line, and it was that quickness that allowed him to play Running Back. A year later, I think he's pretty much solidified that he's an interior Defensive Tackle and is easily a two-gap player up front.

Listed on the Team Unstoppable roster as a Defensive Back, there's no question in my mind that Williams is a Wide Receiver prospect at the next level. In fact, he even scored a touchdown as a Wide Receiver in the game. Between size, body control and hands, Williams is a very developed prospect for just being a 2029 prospect. Between his college-ready size, varsity-ready speed and advanced body control, he's well-deserving of the selection. As of January 2025, the Houston-area based prospect is one of the top redzone threats in all of Texas.

At the middle school level most offensive linemen and defensive linemen are already specializing at a position for better or worse. While there's still a way to go, [player_tooltip player_id='1596310' first='King' last='Irvin'] looks like a future O-lineman if I ever saw one. Comes with very good size for a hog in just the eighth-grade during the 2024-2025 school year. As of January 2025 he looks like he can play Offensive Tackle or Guard, but my long term projection says Guard. He's a wide kid with a strong base. Moves well within his own lane. While pass blocking, If he sits and gets his hands on a Defensive Lineman, it's all but a wrap on the rep/.

An absolutely dominant run blocker, who is reaching that level as a pass blocker as well. Alexander is simply waiting to be molded from a great middle school player with untapped potential, to an elite high school prospect with double digit scholarship offers. Simply put: Just get your pop corn ready here.
