One of the most productive offensive playmakers across the state, regardless of position, Cooper provided highlight plays all season as a WR, RB, and QB. “Sip” was a dynamite stick for the Lions offense, whether he was catching, carrying, or delivering the football. As a receiver, he displays excellent hands and a massive catch radius thanks to his athleticism and balance control. With the football in his arms, he is explosive with dynamic all-around speed and great lateral change of direction. And oh yeah, he also can launch the ball down the seams or at the boundaries. Cooper produced a historically versatile freshman season, totaling over 2,167 yards and 25 touchdowns spread between the three positions. Already holding offers from schools such as Ohio State, Georgia, and Miami, Sip looks to be a premier blue-chip weapon in the ’29 class.

Have you ever seen the movie Happy Feet? Well Sukora Cooper is not a penguin, but man does he have some happy feet. Cooper has some incredible footwork, being able to lull defenders to sleep before making a quick cut and absolutely burning past them. Cooper is also about as sure handed as they come, able to catch passes coming back to the ball, over the shoulder, or just simply over someone. Combine all this and it should be no surprise that Cooper was invited to the UA 8th Grade All American Game, being recognized as one of the top 8th graders in the nation. Cooper is a supreme talent who has all the tools to be a star at the next level. As he continues to age and hone his craft, he is only going to get better. Hear that? That’s the sound of all D coordinators around the Dallas area wincing at the thought of this star athlete getting even better.

Following the camp, the overall offensive MVP was announced and Life Oak Cliff wide receiver Sukora Cooper Jr walked away with the honors. Cooper is just a seventh grader and the wide receiver position was probably the most stacked position group on Sunday. Despite being younger than the majority of players at his position, Cooper showed out from start to finish. Cooper tested well and then absolutely got after it when it was time to compete against other players. Cooper already has a knack for making big plays and he showcased good body control throughout the camp. Even when he had a defender draped on him, he reacted well.
