put on a clinic at the Texas 7v7 State Championship, showcasing why he’s one of the top 2026 receivers in the country. His speed off the line was unmatched — defenders struggled to stay with him on deep routes, and he consistently created 2-3 yards of separation on intermediate cuts. In Panther Creek’s semifinal and championship games, Lott made several highlight-reel catches, including a one-handed grab in tight coverage and a toe-tap sideline catch that drew reactions from scouts on hand. His ability to track the ball at full speed and adjust mid-route makes him a nightmare matchup. Whether it was a deep post, corner, or quick slant, Lott turned routine plays into explosive gains. His straight-line burst, crisp breaks, and elite body control make him not just a D1-caliber receiver, but a future star at the Power 5 level.

Lott is long, lean and has an athletic, stout build with the ability to contort his body better than most players at his level of maturity. Jalen is a twitchy player, who has the skill set to play multiple positions and be dominant. As a cornerback, he transitions into his back pedal smoothly, his elite hip dexterity allows him to turn, cut, stop and explode with wideouts in close coverage to blanket his opponent. Lott uses his length on the offensive side to his advantage to win on the 50/50 balls and he has the skill set to make the contested grabs consistently. He is a superb route runner with the ability to get deep bend in his hips, he has the quickness to shift gears quickly and he has the long speed to create separation at the second level to be a big play threat. He showed off these traits in Lovejoy’s opener in week one and was able to contribute on both sides of the football. College programs have already taken notice, Lott has offers from Michigan, Florida State and Oregon who all offered this offseason. Expect his stock to continue to blossom as the season progresses.
