stood out as one of the younger prospects — but his effort and competitiveness made him feel like he belonged on the field with older talent.
In individual drills, he showed active feet and a willingness to learn, adjusting quickly to coaching points and applying them in real time. His technique is still developing, but what stands out is how hard he works every rep. He moves with urgency and plays with clear passion.

Lewis is the type of freshman defensive back coaches love to project. He plays with excellent feet and hip fluidity, allowing him to stay connected in man coverage, and shows natural instincts when reading routes and quarterback intentions.
He’s a sticky defender who doesn’t panic at the top of routes and shows closing speed when driving on the football. His early offer list reflects how well his movement skills translate on film.
Early offers:
Texas Tech, SMU, Texas State, SFA, UTSA, Austin Peay, Tarleton State, Tulsa
Lewis projects as a multi-year varsity starter with the versatility to play corner or safety depending on physical development.

Riley is the definition of a do it all athlete the kind of player every coach loves to have. He’s versatile enough to line up anywhere on the field and still make an impact, whether it’s at receiver, running back, defensive back, or even special teams. What stands out about Riley is his football instincts and adaptability; he understands the game at a high level and adjusts quickly to whatever role he’s given. He plays with great energy, toughness, and effort, never taking a play off. Riley’s athleticism allows him to move smoothly in space, make plays on both sides of the ball, and consistently find ways to help his team win. He’s the ultimate team first competitor a reliable, all around athlete who makes things happen wherever he lines up.

Despite being one of the youngest at the camp, Lewis already plays with mature technique. His footwork is polished, hips are oily, and he excels in press coverage. Already holding offers from Stephen F. Austin, Texas Tech, UTSA, Texas State, and Austin Peay, his ceiling is sky-high as he enters high school.

Riley made a serious impression at the Texas camp, proving that age is just a number when talent and confidence are on display. As a Class of 2029 defensive back, he showed elite instincts, quick feet, and the ability to mirror receivers step for step. Whether it was breaking up passes or reading the quarterback’s eyes in zone coverage, Riley looked sharp and locked in throughout the day. His competitiveness and poise stood out he didn’t flinch against older, more physically developed opponents. Riley is already turning heads, and if he continues on this path, he’ll be a name to watch nationally in the coming years.

One of the more pure Cornerbacks in the state of Texas for the class of 2029. Fundamentally he’s as good as I’ve seen when it comes to staying low in a back pedal, planting a foot and changing direction. Plays instinctually and has the innate natural ability to know when to go for the INT or play the man. As of January 2025, he looks most comfortable and appears to be the biggest threat when he can play man-up on the outside and get aggressive with the sideline acting as another defender.

- Lewis might not be the largest DB in the world, but he certainly Is one of the toughest. Despite his relatively average stature for an 8th grader Riley (Rylo) Lewis can absolutely lay somebody out.
- Rylo also shows off some pretty incredible speed for his position, able to come up on blitzes and effortlessly chase down opposing QBs in the backfield, or go stride for stride with receivers on the outside.
- Given his size and skill set I think Lewis tracks as a great safety at the higher levels, having the skills to be a center field type FS, or an in the box hard hitting SS.
