Derek showed a solid overall performance at wide receiver during Trinity and competed with consistency throughout the day. He moved well in and out of his routes, showing good control when getting into his breaks and working through different route combinations. Derek did a nice job staying engaged in drills and looked comfortable catching the ball in rhythm when opportunities came his way.

Derek looked outstanding on Day 2, consistently getting open and finding the windows in the defense. He hauled in several big catches, including a couple of touchdowns, showing off his hands, speed, and ability to make plays in key moments. Beyond the stats, he displayed great awareness and timing with his quarterback, turning critical opportunities into game-changing plays. His performance cemented him as a reliable playmaker and a rising star to keep an eye on moving forward.

Derek, a Class of 2029 wide receiver, is a young playmaker with great upside and natural instincts for the position. He shows smooth footwork off the line, allowing him to create separation early in routes. Derek’s quickness and ability to change direction make him tough to cover in space, and he has reliable hands that help him secure catches in traffic. What stands out most is his confidence after the catch he knows how to turn routine plays into big gains. As he continues to develop physically and refine his route running, Derek has the potential to become a dangerous weapon at the next level.

One of only two Wide Receivers on Team Unstoppable in the UA Next 8th Grade All-American Game that were not over the 6-foot mark, White more than made/makes up for it with his ability. On film his foot work, balance and route running all look very good. He recently won the MVP award at the PRZ Next camp and scouts stated that, “…the most dominant player on the field, he showcased superb route-running, quickly and smoothly getting in and out of his breaks while staying under control.”

White displayed all the traits of an elite wide receiver, earning the overall MVP honors at the Prep Redzone Next Camp.
