[player_tooltip player_id='595746' first='Behrett' last='Boyd'] - Senior Linebacker - Norman   We mentioned this over the weekend when we wrote about Norman senior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='595746' first='Behrett' last='Boyd'] following another dominant performance. Boyd is one of the best linebackers in Class 6A-1 and has been that dude for a while now. And he's definitely a player that deserves the spotlight this week because Boyd and the Tigers have a massive week five match-up. They go on the road as a 4-0 team to face Jenks, who is going to be hungry to bounce back following a 1-3 start. If Boyd is able to continue his dominance and Norman can limit what Jenks does offensively in this game, it's another example of why Boyd needs to be recruited at a much higher level. Boyd is a fun and productive player to watch and he'll be one of the top guys on Friday.   [player_tooltip player_id='467141' first='Brayden' last='Hardwick'] - Junior Wide Receiver - Pocola   It's the game of the week in Class A-1 and could very well decide the district championship as #5 Pocola goes on the road to face #4 Rejoice Christian. We got a chance to watch Pocola two weeks ago when they squared off with 2A-2's top-ranked Vian. The final score was a blowout but Pocola was able to move the ball up and down the field. Junior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='467141' first='Brayden' last='Hardwick'] is one of several standouts on the offensive side of the ball. In that game, he had a solid showing, doing most of his damage after the catch as a shifty wide receiver that can break a long play in the blink of an eye. On Friday night, they have a tough test against a Rejoice team that has some good athletes in the secondary. But Pocola will attack them with Hardwick and company.   [player_tooltip player_id='1078310' first='Brayden' last='Knox'] - Senior Linebacker - Putnam City   In Class 6A-2, we'll see a showdown between #3 Choctaw and #4 Putnam City. Senior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1078310' first='Brayden' last='Knox'] is one of the best linebackers of the state and he'll be looking to lead the Pirates to one of the bigger 6A-2 wins this season. Choctaw's offense has been incredibly explosive all season and they just racked up well over 500 yards of total offense last week in a road win over Piedmont. Knox has also been known to play a little offense so look out for that as well. But when it comes down to it, Putnam City will need their star linebacker to show out on the defensive side of the ball as they look to slow down Choctaw's offense and specifically their rushing attack. If Knox and the Pirates can get a win, they would still be in the running for the district title.   [player_tooltip player_id='434614' first='CJ' last='Turnbull'] - Junior Quarterback - Millwood   On Friday night, #2 Millwood will host #3 Jones in a 2A-1 showdown of true state championship contenders. We mentioned earlier in the week how this was a great quarterback match-up and Millwood definitely has the edge in the experience department. Both teams are starting junior quarterbacks but Millwood junior [player_tooltip player_id='434614' first='CJ' last='Turnbull'] has been starting for the Falcons since the very first game of his freshman season. He's helped lead the Falcons to back to back state championship games and the Falcons are hungrier than ever to make it back to Edmond and get the gold ball that has eluded them over the last two seasons. Turnbull and the Millwood offense have been on a roll to start this season and they are coming off a game last week where they put up 50+ points in the first quarter alone.   [player_tooltip player_id='255022' first='Cooper' last='Parker'] - Senior Quarterback/Linebacker - Bixby   #2 Bixby is coming off a monster win at home against Jenks and now they go on the road to face #7 Moore, who's off to a 4-0 start and coming off a big road win over Mustang. Bixby senior [player_tooltip player_id='255022' first='Cooper' last='Parker'] had a big game in the win over Jenks and he has remained so valuable to the Spartans and it comes on both sides of the ball. First off, Parker is part of a Bixby linebacker group that is quickly becoming one of the best in the state. They have two juniors that both hold D1 offers and Parker has been incredibly consistent and productive. But then you see Parker on the offensive side of the ball as a quarterback and when he comes into the game, everybody knows he's going to run the ball and he has still been able to do it and consistently pick up positive yards.   [player_tooltip player_id='1045560' first='Isaac' last='Sheffield'] - Junior Wide Receiver - Grove   It's a 4A clash of top ten and unbeaten teams when #10 Grove hosts #5 Cushing. Grove has played some close and competitive games and that could end up benefitting the Ridgerunners in a district clash that could come down to late in the fourth quarter. Both teams have excellent passing attacks and we're putting the spotlight on Grove junior [player_tooltip player_id='1045560' first='Isaac' last='Sheffield'] going into this one at the wide receiver position. Sheffield is so explosive and if defenses aren't prepared for his speed, they end up paying for it. Sheffield is leading the Ridgerunners in receptions and he also leads them in yards. Sheffield had one of the better plays of week four. In a big district road win over Catoosa, Sheffield would get behind the defense for a 98-yard touchdown.   [player_tooltip player_id='917666' first='Jackson' last='Payne'] - Senior Quarterback - Bethany   It's the game of the week in Class 4A as defending champion Blanchard is hosting #6 Bethany in a match-up of 4-0 teams. If Bethany pulls off the monster win on the road, look for their offense to continue their balanced attack on that side of the ball. Leading that balanced offensive attack has been senior [player_tooltip player_id='917666' first='Jackson' last='Payne'] at the quarterback position. And in a class that features some really talented quarterbacks, Payne has established himself as one of those top guys. In three of their first four games, Payne has finished with three passing touchdowns. And that's the match-up we want to see on Friday night. Payne has been lights out this season but he's going up against a Blanchard squad that has some legitimate talent in the secondary. It'll be fun to watch.   [player_tooltip player_id='1292050' first='Kincayde' last='Eng'] - Junior Quarterback - Metro Christian   Metro Christian has been absolutely dominant over the last several weeks but they might be tested this week in a 2A-1 top ten showdown. They'll host Chandler on Friday night in a game that could very well decide the district championship. It should be no surprise that Metro Christian has been on a roll on the offensive side of the ball. Junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1292050' first='Kincayde' last='Eng'] came into this season as a player to watch for the Patriots and the latest in a long line of successful Metro quarterbacks. Eng has the Patriots in a position to contend in a very top-heavy Class 2A-1. This is a class that is headlined by defending champion Washington and other contenders like Jones and Millwood. Metro Christian might be flying under the radar but that could change Friday night.   [player_tooltip player_id='192928' first='Ryan' last='Grayson'] - Senior Athlete - Beggs   It's another match-up of teams ranked in the top five as 2A-2's #5 Beggs will host #2 Davis in a district showdown that could end up deciding the district championship. Beggs is off to a 4-0 start and they look like they are primed for a return to the playoffs. For us, senior standout [player_tooltip player_id='192928' first='Ryan' last='Grayson'] is the player to watch here because he has been that guy for a long time now. Whether it's on offense, defense or special teams, Grayson finds a way to impact the game in all three phases. And when we say he's been that guy for a long time now, we literally mean since he was a freshman. He became one of the state's very best players last season and is looking to help guide Beggs back to the playoffs as they look to contend for the Class 2A-2 state championship.   [player_tooltip player_id='288687' first='Shepherd' last='Sisemore'] - Senior Defensive Back - Plainview   In the game of the week in Class 3A, it's #5 Plainview hosting #3 Pauls Valley in a battle of unbeaten teams on Friday night. Pauls Valley's offense has some serious firepower but Plainview might have the defense to limit what they're able to do. It'll start with Air Force commit [player_tooltip player_id='288687' first='Shepherd' last='Sisemore'] from the safety position. Sisemore is arguably the most experienced player within this Plainview lineup. We love the impact he has on the defensive side of the ball and it looks like his future is on defense but don't overlook his ability to turn around and play offense and make plays at wide receiver. Sisemore has been a dynamic two-way player for a few years now but he and the rest of the Indians are hungry to get back into the playoffs and contending in Class 3A.
