Our #1 ranked running back in the 2025 class put on a show Friday Night. Running hard with purpose, catching the ball out of the backfield, and showing great vision were the things I was most impressed with De'Von seeing him live. He had 117 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns, and added in a receiving touchdown on a nice screen pass from QB [player_tooltip player_id='371947' first='Braden' last='Atkinson']. He has one TD called back for a hurtling penalty or it would have been even more impressive production.

This was my first time seeing Braden live, and I thought he played very well. The Rolesville offensive line gave him a comfortable pocket to throw in most of the time, and he was able to dial up completions all over the football field. Braden had 317 yards passing and 3 touchdowns on the night. I wouldn't classify Braden as a dual-threat player, he definitely is more of a pocket prospect who is accurate with a good arm overall.

Gavin was impressive with great speed as he got behind the Butler defense a couple of times for big plays. Gavin also made some nice catches, showing soft hands in the process. I also liked Gavin's route running - his catches came on a nice variety of routes concepts. Gavin finished with 9 catches for 165 yards and a touchdown.

Marquis was fluid in coverage and played with great football IQ and instincts. As Butler was down by a large margin, they really started to try and push the football down the field vertically and Marquis was a big reason why they didn't have a lot of success in doing so. Marquis did a great job of not letting Butler receivers get behind the defense at his safety position and was always in the right place based on the defensive call. Marquis was able to pull in a nice interception playing with good zone coverage discipline and showing strong hands plucking the ball out of the air.

Marion was a big-time player in this game. I was very impressed with his straight-line speed - his kickoff return when the game was relatively close at 26-14 after a Butler touchdown was a major turning point in my opinion. Marion also had a big interception that essentially ended the game in the 3rd quarter when Butler was driving and trying to get on the scoreboard after halftime.

Jayden did everything he could to try and get his team going Friday Night. Jayden had several nice catches out of the backfield in the passing game, picking up good yardage after the catch. When Jayden had some holes to run in, he looked explosive going through the hole, especially on his 30 yard touchdown run in the 2nd quarter to briefly get the Bulldogs back into the game. Jayden was an emotional leader as well on the sidelines, trying to get his team focused throughout the night.

Dequadre did everything he could Friday Night to help the Bulldogs. Dequadre started at both wide receiver and defensive back for the Bulldogs. He did have an 84 yard touchdown reception for the Bulldogs that was impressive, showing off his game-breaking speed, and I thought he was a factor in the secondary in taking some things away that Rolesville wanted to do in the passing game.

The UMass commit showed some good things on Friday Night. I think Zach hung in the pocket and tried to make some things happen in the passing game to jumpstart his Bulldogs offense. His passes had some good velocity on them and he delivered the ball with confidence. Zach was very accurate throwing the ball in between the hashes in the middle of the field. As the game was getting away from them, Zach had to take some chances in pushing the ball down the field, but he never lost his confidence which was a plus.
