Expert Analysis
Matt Morrow | Prep Redzone Scout
Jayden was the East Team’s leading rusher in the game with 37 yards on 10 carries, including the game’s first rushing touchdown from 13 yards out. On the touchdown run, Jayden showed some impressive burst on an outside zone running play, beating the defensive flow to the corner of the end zone on the play. Jayden’s speed/size combination should be something colleges value as the recruiting process continues this off-season.

Jayden is a pure three-down running back who is the total package. Jayden can run with power in between the tackles, he has the speed to hurt you off-tackle and outside, & he is a very good receiver out of the backfield who can win against linebackers in the passing game. He has taken on a bigger load this year for a younger-than-usual Butler team. Jayden helped lead the Bulldogs to the playoffs, where they nearly pulled a monumental upset against East Forsyth.

Jayden did everything he could to try and get his team going Friday Night. Jayden had several nice catches out of the backfield in the passing game, picking up good yardage after the catch. When Jayden had some holes to run in, he looked explosive going through the hole, especially on his 30 yard touchdown run in the 2nd quarter to briefly get the Bulldogs back into the game. Jayden was an emotional leader as well on the sidelines, trying to get his team focused throughout the night.

Williams has flown up the board from our watch list to his current position thanks to a re-structuring of his body this offseason. he’ll play about 20 pounds heavier than last season, which should really help his strength and durability. He’s a patient runner who runs through a lot of arm tackles and has flashed in the past as a solid pass catcher.
