On June 29th, 2024, Pope John Paul II's [player_tooltip player_id='598736' first='Luke' last='Terlesky'] announced his commitment to West Chester University, where he will continue his academic and baseball career. [player_tooltip player_id='598736' first='Luke' last='Terlesky'] has spent the last two 2025 ranking updates off of our lists strictly due to a lack of tape. Prior to this past December, Terlesky ranked beside the likes of [player_tooltip player_id='386285' first='Skyler' last='Smith'] and [player_tooltip player_id='386093' first='Matt' last='Zollers'] at one point. Do not let his commitment to baseball fool you into thinking he's nothing short of a special passer behind center. I'm out of the loop as to whether or not Terlesky is fully focusing on baseball. If the senior is suiting up for PJP2, he'll bring a level of confidence and experience PJP would otherwise lack in the huddle.

Witter stood out at PRZ camps, enough for me to rank him among 2027s best, despite Witter solely displaying JV tape on Hudl. A lot of production comes with Witter working outside the pocket, either in designed rollouts or impromptu sprintouts. Witter would find it valuable to earn some time on Varsity, seeing the game speed up for the sophomore passer would help guys like me know if he's the real deal or not.

Christopher Scruggs comes over from North Penn and replaces Boyd Skarbek. Filling the Skarbek shoes, a back who placed inside the top 150 among his 2024 peers, is a task too large for most. Scruggs has the talent and carry capacity to replicate some of what Skarbek provided PJP2 in years past. A chiseled-out 175-pound frame, stands at 5'9", Scruggs' junior tape actually begins with him flexing his abilities at corner. I expect Scruggs to make an immediate impact at back, yet it's worth noting that the young man is a starting quality DB who can play on an island outside the numbers. There is no other DB mentioned in this piece unless you count [player_tooltip player_id='598942' first='Braden' last='Reed']'s two-way abilities or junior [player_tooltip player_id='1352782' first='Joey' last='Digiacomo']. Scruggs could very well start both ways for this football team. Experience running between the tackles, experience running routes while being split out, experience at corner, I don't think enough is made of this acquisition. PJP2 saw some phenomenal 2024s leave for next-level ball, bringing in a kid who can affect all three phases of the game might prove an invaluable move. Scruggs has performed well at our PRZ showcases, I've also seen Scruggs play live on more than one occasion.

The highest-ranking PJP2 player by a significant margin. A PRZ Top 100 senior. A fantastic wideout who held multiple FCS offers under his belt. [player_tooltip player_id='598942' first='Braden' last='Reed'], who recently announced his commitment to Villanova University, starts off his tape showcasing what he's capable of with the ball in his hands. Unreal change of direction ability, great balance, and body control to cut defenders out of their cleats, Reed blends the awareness and open-field vision of a back with the fantastic hands of a true wideout. Any kick or punt headed his way needs to be fielded correctly or it's a house call waiting to happen. Has a different gear to his game, a gear that has him accelerating past deep angles taken by defensive backs. The likelihood of you catching up to a full-striding Reed is slim. A starting caliber defensive back, one who transfers his understanding of route concepts from the offensive side of the ball over to safety or corner if the team is in need. A pass-catcher who is unafraid to attack the middle of the field. Reed is often the one to be felt across the middle, as opposed to the defense. A tough-as-nails competitor who has a chip on his shoulder, expect gaudy production out of [player_tooltip player_id='598942' first='Braden' last='Reed'] this coming Fall, more than he's put forth in the past. PJP2 will deploy one of the best prospects in PA who has committed to an FCS school, there aren't too many better options. Villanova got a steal.

Formerly out of Upper Merion HS, [player_tooltip player_id='854391' first='Zahaid' last='Edwards'] has made the move over to PJP2, who was in desperate need of replacing some stud two-way players. They get one in a young man who narrowly missed earning a Division One grade out of me this ranking cycle. 6'1, 160 pounds, Edwards presence will likely be felt on defense more than anything. [player_tooltip player_id='598942' first='Braden' last='Reed'] will feel a ton of pressure playing both ways, having Edwards man a secondary spot and do one hell of a job should alleviate some of that pressure on the star prospect headed to Villanova. That being said, Edwards can provide spacing opportunities on offense too. Defenses will have to account for Edwards striding down the sidelines and acting as a real threat downfield. Excited for this young man's future, he'll be making plays all over the field.

Received a high-to-mid level D2 grade after evaluation of his junior tape. Sprang loose a ton of Skarbek home runs as a pulling right guard. A phenomenal finisher of reps, Frantz doesn't always latch onto the chest plates of defenders cleanly, but the young man doesn't need to fully lock out to pan-cake would-be tacklers. Frantz has the hip/leg drive, the lower body strength to outright win engagements that begin in a stalemate. Consistently rejects defenders who attempt to cross his face. Has experience at right tackle, a lifeline PJP2 can throw in case of an emergency. Tackle reps likely have helped Frantz develop a better understanding of blocking concepts as a whole, should bode well if he wants to play next-level ball. Certainly a name I'd throw to PSAC's, especially if his measurables stand true.

PJP2 will deploy two top 100 worthy prospects, with Parker formerly ranking inside that threshold just a couple of months back. 6'4/6'5, a lean-cut 230 pounds, I'm a bit surprised more FCS schools haven't pounced on the athletic profile and skillset of Parker's yet. Parker claimed a scholarship offer out of Maine back in May, yet I'm out of the loop as to whether this offer still stands. One thing's for sure, his tape is worthy of said offer still standing true. Although Parker fits the prototypical EDGE mold in terms of measurables, this is a young man who is capable of playing any position across the defensive line at the HS level. PJP2 has explored a ton of different alignment variations, with many popping up on Parker's end-of-season highlight tape. I've spoken about Parker potentially gaining weight in prior years, he did just that while maintaining speed and burst off the snap. Emphasis on hand usage looks clearer in his junior tape that it ever has. I know FCS schools will still be on the lookout for a prospect with athletic potential like Parker, I'd still hold out hope if I were him. Look for PJP2 to potentially use Parker on both sides of the ball. He has done so in the past, the exodus of high-profile names might call for two-way demand.

The addition of CJ Scruggs will grab the spotlight, with Scruggs likely toting the rock at least ten times a game. Yet this addition might be the one that decides football games. [player_tooltip player_id='255079' first='Anthony' last='Borzillo'] will suit up for PJP2, would love to see if the program explores Borzillo at tight end, yet he will likely be stationed opposite [player_tooltip player_id='599563' first='Makel' last='Parker'] along the defensive front. A little tough to project Borzillo's role for a couple of reasons. One, Borzillo is already a versatile prospect as is, the kid can and is used to aligning in various sets. Two, Malvern Prep has had the luxury of sending out a ton of LB/EDGE types throughout the years, with Borzillo changing alignments on tape seemingly with each passing rep. Heading into a new huddle and program, versatility should work in his favor. Borzillo is currently unoffered, I have held him in high favor/regard in the past, I still do to this day. 3.9 GPA

Formerly out of Daniel Boone HS, the incoming junior will bring in two-way production from last Fall. 20+ receptions, this should help alleviate some of the coverage thrown Reed's way. 15+ tackles at his LB/DB spot, also forced 2 fumbles as a sophomore. Digiacomo's measurables don't scream tight end, yet some of the route tree assigned to him resembles that of a tight end. A lot of in-breaking routes, keep everything between 6-15 yards. Digiacomo and DeAngelo could grow in an offense that is going to see Reed take the brunt of rotations. The theme of this piece is position versatility, Digiacomo is the embodiment of that, can play multiple positions on defense as well. Excited to see how PJP2 uses his tools.
