Film Review: 5 Playmakers in the 2028 Class

He has excellent ball skills that allow him to go up and make difficult catches. He is able to out jump defensive backs when the coverage is tight. He shows excellent hands. Then he also shows a good ability to make plays after he catches the ball and rack up yards after the catch. Hawkins is a good prospect with excellent skills. Looking at his film from last year you see a good defensive back. He has excellent coverage skills as he is able to lock down wide receivers at a high rate. Then he shows good balls skills. If something is thrown at him, he usually can get his hands on the ball to knock them down. He flashed some good ability on both sides of the ball. As a tight end he was used mostly as a blocker. He showed a good ability to block on the edge. His ability to drive defenders off the ball was good. Then on defense he played as a linebacker. He showed a good ability to make plays from the linebacker position. He has good speed and elusiveness. He is ability to make defenders miss is impressive. He has good breakaway speed and once he gets into the open field he is off to the races. Hanton also showed a physical running style. He made a ton of plays on defense last year. He is able to play in space and on edge as a linebacker. His closing speed is top notch. You see that on several big plays he made. He had two impressive interceptions by reading the play, closing on it and making a big play. He also uses his closing speed to chase down ball carriers or quarterbacks. He is a legit athlete that makes plays all over the field. Johnson also has legit running back skills as well. He is expected to continue to grow and play even better going forward.
