Here’s another former Top 100 prospect who is making the move over from Malvern Prep to PJP2. The addition of CJ Scruggs will grab the spotlight, with Scruggs likely toting the rock at least ten times a game. Yet this addition might be the one that decides football games.

will suit up for PJP2, would love to see if the program explores Borzillo at tight end, yet he will likely be stationed opposite

along the defensive front. A little tough to project Borzillo’s role for a couple of reasons. One, Borzillo is already a versatile prospect as is, the kid can and is used to aligning in various sets. Two, Malvern Prep has had the luxury of sending out a ton of LB/EDGE types throughout the years, with Borzillo changing alignments on tape seemingly with each passing rep. Heading into a new huddle and program, versatility should work in his favor. Borzillo is currently unoffered, I have held him in high favor/regard in the past, I still do to this day. 3.9 GPA

Really like what Borzillo brings off the egde for Malvern prep. He has really good size for the position but also has a quality first step and good speed coming off the edge. He also shows upside as a tight end as well.

Excited to these two Malvern Prep Friars cash in on an off-season of hard work. You’ve heard it once from me, you’ll hear it again, MP has numerous defenders worthy of playing along this defensive front. MP can’t play all of them. Looking back at past camp performances, past Hudl clips and highlights, we identified both Ceppetelli and Borzillo as potential EDGE prospects to know when scouting the state. Both are TE-capable prospects, both can block from that position. Both Ceppetelli and Borzillo can rush the passer at the varsity level. I want one of these two kids to stand out and make us stop guessing.
A ton of effort will culminate into something this time next year, which of these two kids, whose ceilings are through the roof, will cash in on the opportunity in front of them?

Malvern Prep has been pumping out elite talent the last few years and Borzillo is next in line. He had already has great size thanks to his 6-foot-4 frame and is explosive coming off the edge. He can beat you with speed and he can beat you with a pure bullrush. We’re excited to see him continue to work on his craft over the next three years.
