The Class of 2025 rankings saw a ton of changes during our summer update. A big reason behind that is because of the athletes who dominated this summer, and a rewatch of their junior tape impressed again. These athletes left no doubt to us that they are ready for big senior seasons, and have the talent to be an impact at the collegiate level. These athletes proved to have special athletic traits that will shine on the field starting this Friday night. This group is also completely made up of uncommitted athletes. They are many of the best available, so coaches make sure you check in on these kids this season. Let's dive into the group of stock risers from the 2025 Update!

We were sleeping on the Whitnall standout two way athlete. Jayveon has put together a great offseason since the 2023 season ended. We have seen him earn 9 D2 offers to date. The 1st Team All Conference RB/LB posted elite testing numbers with a 4.54 40 and a 39.4" vertical while easily carrying that 210 lbs. It was clear that Gold was one of the 10 most versatile players in the state, earning him that #10 spot in the ATH group.

The 6' 210 lbs athlete has a legit chance to play on either side of the ball at the next level. His superior athleticism shines on varsity tape as a junior. Watching Jayveon's RB highlights is so fun. He can beat a defense whichever way was needed. The '25 can run angry, keep his feet through contact, and break tackles and pile up yards after contact. Then he can flash the explosion and speed while he rips through the middle of the defense before LBs or DBs can collapse on him.

On defense, Gold offers a college DC a unique chess piece. We see him at the MLB position roaming sideline to sideline with excellent pursuit speed. The rising senior packs a punch on contact, running through his tackles. The LB has explosive burst when blitzing, making him a nightmare to try and cut off. Jayveon also has the athleticism to matchup against RBs or TEs in the passing game. The potential is very high for Jayveon. Get ready for him to put on a show this season.

Carson put together a great offseason from his Prep Redzone WI Showcase spring performance through his final summer camp. The rising senior is another versatile athlete that shines at RB and LB. Carson is a hard working, dedicated athlete that lives in the gym during the offseason. That dedication has led to consistent improvements in his game on the field.

When I watch the tape I can't help but think his future might be brightest at RB. Carson plays like a three down back. He will do the dirty work, grind out the tough yards between the tackles, and eventually wear down a defense. The '25 will also find lanes to the outside and flash game breaking speed to get down the sideline for the big momentum swinging plays. Plus the rising RB/LB has reliable hands and does a great job of turning short passes or check downs into big yards after the catch plays.

At LB we see that athleticism and power culminate in his ability to fly around the field and deliver jarring tackles. Carson has good instincts and is quick to diagnose plays. I can't wait to see how he performs this fall as he leads Horlick through the 2024 season.

One of the biggest risers overall, and at the OL position, is [player_tooltip player_id='942704' first='Michael' last='Nolan'] of Marquette University. He had a great summer of camps, earning several D2 offers. The more you watch the 6'5" 260 lbs OT the more he grows on you. Michael is a technically sound athlete who pairs strength and athleticism together to be able to win in the trenches and beyond. Against DLs Michael shows off lower body strength in the run game to drive his opponent off the ball and upper body strength to steer and control his man while driving them off the line. Nolan also shows excellent range both in double teams from a DL and then going up to level two or getting out on the perimeter to land blocks on DBs in the screen game. The frame is there to build on as well. Michael carries is 260 lbs easily, showing plenty of space to continue to grow at the next level. This is one of the top uncommitted linemen in WI, and a need to know athlete.

LaMarcus has put together a great HS career to this point. The 6'2" 210 lbs LB has earned multiple All- Region honors already and an All State Honorable Mention honor. Not to mention his Defensive Player of the Year award for his conference. He has gotten around this summer and proved in front of coaches that he has the talent to play at the next level. He currently holds three offers, and I expect that number to grow as we enter the season.

I love this kid's instincts on his highlights. In both the run and pass game we see him read and react at a high level. Plus he has the athleticism to capitalize on the things he reads. Against the run, Vinson aggressively triggers downhill and closesq quickly on the ball. The '25 LB drops the hammer on every tackle he gets the chance to. He is able to move through the front seven without having to get off blocks. In the passing game Vinson shows the lateral movement to be able to get to a zone while reading the QB or he is able to turn and run with RBs out of the backfield. LaMarcus is a strong piece to have in the middle of a defense. Expect a big year as he and the talented Rufus King defense take the field.

Bennett is an exciting prospect because he has proven that he deserves this pump in the rankings, and I believe he is still due to breakout this season. The 6'3" 230 lbs TE is a strong athlete that is very well put together. His frame will be able to continue to grow and fill out at the next level, maximizing his current strengths on the field even farther. On the field it can't be overlooked how much of an impact he makes as a blocker. He truly is that extra lineman in the formation with his strong upper and lower body as he moves DL off the ball. Bennett is able to attack level two with quickness and power as soon as he makes contact. The breakout will come in the passing game. The size mismatch is there, the athleticism to get up the seam and win in the short/intermediate levels is there. Plus he has a talented QB to work with. The tools are there to be a high impact, three down, traditional TE. Keep your eyes on this kid.

One of the top steals in the state currently is St. Croix Falls' OL/DL [player_tooltip player_id='942604' first='Logan' last='Bockman']. He currently holds an offer from Bemidji State and has received interest from other D2 programs. The 6'2" 270 lbs lineman is in position to put together dominant tape and turn that interest into a few more offers.

The IOL is a beast at center. He explodes out of his stance in the run game, gets his heavy hands in great position on his opponent and instantly runs his feet through the block. Logan does an excellent job of using leverage while driving his feet, putting his opponent in positions they can't recover from. Once he gets the movement, Logan lets his mean streak take over as he looks to finish every block with violence. That violence, leverage, power, and burst off the line also made him a dominant IDL. I believe Bockman has the talent to play on the interior of either the OL or DL. He is a versatile athlete that needs more attention. Check him out this fall.

An athlete that I have been sleeping on until now is the explosive WR out of Manitowoc Lincoln. The 5'11" 155 lbs [player_tooltip player_id='773282' first='Julien' last='Bailey'] is a twitchy, agile, explosive playmaker out wide that has proven to be able to win down the field. He has proven that he can win at every level of the field. In the screen game Julien shows the elusiveness and vision to create big plays from nothing. The speed is there to eat up cushion, get behind the defense, and track the ball for big gains. It is also very clear on tape the second gear he has after the catch to pull away from defenders. The senior WR has a couple offers currently, but even more programs need to check out what he did last season and see what he does in 2024.

Hartford's [player_tooltip player_id='1104036' first='Dane' last='Meinerz'] has seen his stock rise this offseason through camps where he was able to earn an offer from Northern State. The upward trajectory might just be starting for Dane though. The '25 LB has a great frame to build on at the next level. It is impressive watching him move in pass coverage at 6'4". He is able to change direction laterally, backpedal, and attack downhill on plays in front of him. Dane also does a great job of playing contain on the edge. He has the athleticism to be able to quickly collapse down or get wide laterally to keep the ball from getting outside him. He also closely quickly in those scenarios and is usually able to end the play himself. Dane is a comfortable athlete out in space and has the toughness to play on the edge in the trenches too. The building blocks are there for him to truly breakout at the next level.

Willem has put together a great summer attending camps. His performances helped him earn offers from River Falls, Sioux Falls, Southwest Minnesota State, and Dordt. The 6' 170 lbs CB was an All State athlete as a junior and proved to have excellent athletic measurables to go with his production. The '25 CB has experience and success in zone and man coverage. In zone he shows a good awareness of his area, who is entering it, and is able to quickly change direction to attack the ball. In man coverage, Willem flashes quick feet and hips to be able to stick to his man's hip pocket through routes and shows great timing to break up passes without drawing flags. The senior also has good ball skills to create turnovers when he gets himself in that good positioning. Don't sleep on one of the best uncommitted DBs in WI.

One of my favorite RBs in this recent update to watch has become [player_tooltip player_id='384576' first='Cameron' last='Cornett'], and I have a feeling we are just getting started compared to how impressive he will look this season. Cameron has packed on the size this offseason and will return to the field at an impressive 195 lbs this fall. That extra size should feed into his strengths on the field perfectly. Cameron eats between the tackles. His combination of patience, vision, and contact balance have allowed him to thrive in the inside run game. He trusts his ability to accelerate and break tackles, allowing him to be patient and let things develop. Once they do Cornett shows he can create yards after contact as he shrugs off tackle attempts or use some flashy lateral agility to create space. Get ready for a big senior campaign from the talented RB.
