Jones was our PRZ-Oklahoma Freshman Of The Year in 2022. He would follow that up with a sophomore season where he accounted for over 2,000 yards of total offense. And now, we're excited to see what's next for Jones. We know that his expectations are very high for this season and this Jenks offense is absolutely loaded. Jones has performed very well this offseason and whether he's on offense or defense, he is a very special prospect.

Durant defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='402371' first='Colton' last='Yarbrough'] has been right there with Jones in terms of the very top prospects in Oklahoma's 2026 class. And just like Jones, Yarbrough has been on the radar before his high school career even began. Because of that, it's crazy to think that the Durant standout still has two more seasons of high school football ahead of him. Every offseason, Yarbrough tests off the charts and passes every eye test imaginable. You don't see the Durant star in person without being impressed. We're looking forward to seeing how he looks this fall and where he lines up. He's moved around a little bit in his first two years.

Norman North wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='284117' first='Mason' last='James'] has continued to climb the state's 2026 rankings and there are few prospects in the state that have seen the college offer sheet expand compared to James. Simply put, James is absolutely electric out on the field and he's only continued to get better, every time we've seen him in person. As a freshman, James was a legitimate two-way player for Norman North. But he's spent the last 18 months really working on his wide receiver skills and has elevated himself to the top spot at the position in the state's 2026 class. He is a terrific athlete and there is no denying he's fun to watch.

You could throw Owasso defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1179991' first='Tajh' last='Overton'] into the same conversation with James. Since December, it's felt like Overton has received another D1 offer about every other day. He has truly emerged as one of the state's heavy hitters, not only in the 2026 class but overall. And we are fired up to see him and this Owasso defensive line in action this season. Because Overton is outstanding but he has some firepower around him. They have a chance to be the top unit in the state. He debuted in our rankings as a top five overall prospect and nothing has changed with this latest update. He has a very high ceiling.

Jenks offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='467408' first='Ryley' last='Kester'] has been the state's top prospect at his position since before he entered high school. And speaking openly, he's had a stranglehold on that top spot. This offseason, Kester said that he was transferring to Jenks after spending his first two seasons at Sand Springs. He joins a Jenks offense that is going to have some of the best skill players in the state. Kester has had a busy offseason, going to various camps and college visits. He's had a solid list of offers for a while now and is hoping that it continues to grow. Kester is a ferocious offensive lineman that dominates the line of scrimmage.

Lawton MacArthur wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1045555' first='Joshua' last='Rushing'] was another prospect that debuted in these rankings in a very high spot. Rushing enjoyed a breakout season last fall and emerged as one of the top overall prospects in the class. Rushing has only continued that momentum this offseason. He has been dominant every time we've seen him in person and has seen his recruitment take off because of it. We've seen him a handful of times and he's been lights out on offense but he's also turned around and looked really good on defense. For now, we still have him on the offensive side of the ball but it's something to watch for.

Lawton MacArthur defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='403509' first='Adam' last='Auston'] is arguably the most intriguing defensive prospect to watch this season. First off, we have Auston listed this time around as a defensive back because he is one of the top safeties in the state. But this offseason, we watched Auston a handful of times at various 7v7 tournaments and it felt like he just kept getting bigger. We started to wonder if Auston would fit more naturally at the next level at the linebacker position. But for now, we still have him ranked as the state's top defensive back prospect. His instincts are off the charts and he is primed for a very big junior season.

Every May, we do a team camp tour and every year, there are a handful of athletes that we watch in person and it looks like they spent the previous six months in the weight room. Del City linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='587262' first='Ricklan' last='B Holmes II'] is one of those players. We saw Holmes in person a couple times last season and we don't remember him being as big as he was when we caught him in person this spring. Holmes looked like he had been living in the weight room and had just been let out. He's had a very impressive physical transformation and we're impressed to see what kind of season he can have as the top junior linebacker in the state.

Valliant running back [player_tooltip player_id='587265' first='Kenny' last='Golston'] has been firmly established as one of the state's top running backs for a long time now. Golston has been a guy to watch within this class since his freshman season at Valliant. And the Bulldogs have a new head coach that is used to having one of the best running backs in the state from his last stop. So we're fired up to see what kind of production he has this season. Golston has seen his recruitment start to really take off this offseason. Some of the top programs in the country have either offered or are very interested. Golston is a great looking running back and has a very bright future.

Bethany defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='402375' first='Evenson' last='Malaska'] jumps back into the top ten on this latest ranking update. He missed his sophomore season but Malaska has had an impressive offseason and has seen his recruitment really start to take off. He's getting more opportunities and we have a feeling that he'll see that recruitment absolutely explode this fall. With Malaska healthy, he'll have a chance to showcase his talents as a very advanced cover corner. When he was a freshman, Bethany's coaches were high on his play and how far ahead of the curve he was over most freshmen. Malaska seems primed for a big 2024 season.
