Between the competition amongst kids throughout the East Coast and the energy the staff brought, I found myself having a great time. The Third Team offensive selections are below, please note that these gentlemen were very close to being on second and first teams:
Quarterbacks:
Jaheim Jackson
Jaheim Jackson
Coming up all the way from Louisa County in Virginia, the Woodberry Forrest Transfer was very impressive. Throwing to receivers he had never meshed with before, Jackson was on point during the 1v1 sessions, consistently delivering many accurate throws. Whether they were deep balls or intermediate routes Jackson was on point all afternoon. You have to feel really good about this young man’s future playing next to some of the top recruited kids in the class of 2026, Jaheim Jackson’s time is coming!
Another gunslinger who we debated heavily about putting on 1st or 2nd team was Shane Leh Shane Leh 6’2″ | 175 lbs | QB Northwestern Lehigh | 2026 State PA . One of top ranked quarterbacks in all of Pennsylvania for the class of 2026 Leh had himself a nice afternoon.
Highlights
The youngest of the Ortega dynasty Coatesville product Matt Ortega Jr. Matt Ortega Jr. 5’9″ | 160 lbs | QB Coatesvillesch | 2026 State PA made the most of his opportunity, earning this third team selection. Tough young man who throws really well particularly on the run, he had a number of good accurate passes during 1 on 1s.
Running Backs:
Cocalico’s Dane Horning Dane Horning 5’8″ | 180 lbs | ATH Cocalico | 2026 State PA stood out in nearly every drill, you can tell he has been well coached in all phases which should come as no surprise considering the Eagles Head Coach is district champion Bryan Strohl. Whether it was in the 1v1 portion or the individual drills Horning made his presence known, he is due for a big junior season. With Cocalico’s run dominant offense, expect to see Horning take on a bigger load offensively this fall.
Every showcase this young man always stands out to me, bottom line is Jack Penzone Jack Penzone 5’7″ | 155 lbs | ATH Sun Valley | 2025 State PA came to put in work. Testing once again very overall, we were flipping back and forth for Penzone’s selection he made it that difficult. One of the top remaining uncommited prospects for the class of 2025, the Sun Valley star did nothing but help his stock this past Saturday.
Highlights
Lamont Bates Jr. was a stud particularly in the 1 on 1 matchups against the linebackers, none of them really had a chance once he got out into the open.
Highlights
Wide Receivers:
The Solanco product earned third team honors with an overall excellent day. Kris Burgos-Wise Kris Burgos-Wise 6’0″ | 165 lbs | WR Solanco | 2026 PA may not get the recognition he deserves playing in run dominant offense, but Saturday he showed that Head Coach Tony Cox may want to open up the passing game a little come fall. The young man has good size and blazing speed which he showed time and time again during the 1v1 and the individual drills.
Highlights
Overall I thought the receiver group was the deepest position group at Spooky Nook and Germantown Academy’s Josh Cain Josh Cain 6’0″ | 180 lbs | WR Germantown Academy | 2026 State PA being on our third team validates that even more. Another big time 2026 prospect who could of easily been 1st or 2nd team, Cain really helped himself during the 1v1 battles. A big strong target, he consistently displayed good hand and footwork, I expect big things from him this season.
Highlights
Oh boy does Head Coach George Eager have a nice piece to work with in 2027 prospect Orion Abrams Orion Abrams 5’10” | 160 lbs | WR Hempfield | 2027 PA , he had himself a day. One of the top returning receivers in the Lancaster-Lebanon league Abrams had good measurables, ran well and competed with some of the best defensive backs in the state.
Amin Winston Amin Winston 6’1″ | 180 lbs | DL West Philadelphia | 2025 State PA is already a stud for West Philadelphia at both defensive line and receiver, this past weekend he displayed his skills towards the latter. Earning third team all camp honors should go along nicely for Winston as he begins his senior season. What position or position group he ends up choosing at the next level will be the bigger question.
TIGHT ENDS:
The Tight End group was very small for this outing but nonetheless each kid battled in this group including Quinn Gallagher Quinn Gallagher 6’5″ | 210 lbs | TE The Haverford School | 2026 State PA . The Haverford School product showed good blocking technique in the individual drills and held himself up well in the 1 on 1 battles.
Highlights
Billy Tigue Billy Tigue 6’5″ | 175 lbs | TE West Chester Rustin | 2025 State PA earned third team honor as well for his fine outing Saturday, the West Chester Rustin product is one of our highest ranked tight ends in the state.
Highlights
Offensive Line:
Full disclosure I wanted Christian Leonard Christian Leonard 6’5″ | 315 lbs | OL St. Joseph’s Prep | 2025 State PA on our 2nd team he really competed against a loaded defensive line group. Not losing many 1 on 1 reps, Leonard established himself early among the offensive line. You can see more why schools such as Penn and the University of Delaware are hoping to make one last push for his services. A stud at 6’5 and 315 lbs. Leonard was a force all morning.
James Tyler James Tyler 6’3″ | 255 lbs | OL Parkland | 2026 State PA also established himself and had a good results in the 40 and broad jump with this group. Playing for Parkland High School, Tyler is a beast at 6’3 255 lbs., more outings like his one on Saturday are bound to get him attention from colleges across the country.
