is a legit athlete who can do a lot of different things on the football field. As a wide receiver, he has excellent body control. His ability to go up and catch the ball is impressive. In between defenders in traffic, he makes great catches look normal. Cain also has the speed to run by defenders. Then, on defense, he played as both a defensive end and a linebacker. At both positions, he shows off his athleticism as he just chases plays all over the field. Cain is an excellent athlete who has all the tools of a great athlete.

#108 Cain stood out in his group at the broad jump station, recording a 10’2, last off-season Cain jumped a 9’06 broad jump. He puts some of this explosiveness on display through his blocking on screen plays for his fellow receivers. At the camp he put his rout running skills on display and won a few reps with crisp routes and separation.

being on our third team validates that even more. Another big time 2026 prospect who could of easily been 1st or 2nd team, Cain really helped himself during the 1v1 battles. A big strong target, he consistently displayed good hand and footwork, I expect big things from him this season.

landed on the watchlist specifically because of a lack of tape. Among his 2026 classmates, he’s got a ton of wideout competition to be ranked beside. I can see him making a top-120 debut this coming update based on what I saw up close. I stress that nothing is more important than game tape, yet this young man is well on his way.

In retrospect, I’m very happy Joshua Cain came out and participated in this camp. I’ve been following the Germantown freshman for some time, yet reps and tape are obviously hard to come by. So getting an extensive look at his game finally opened my eyes to the type of prospect we are dealing with. He’s got special potential, especially after taking a look at his combine numbers. 5’11, posting a 9’6 broad jump twice, along with a 4.67 40, all as a freshman without much tape. I feel much better about Cain’s potential at Germantown Academy. Here’s to hoping he finds the field sooner rather than later. Excited to finally rank him in the future.
