About Cameron

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I believe that I’m capable of playing with speed and power. I have a nose for the ball on defense. I enjoy hitting and running through my opponents. My brother and my cousin played at D1 power 5 conference schools which are Rutgers and Virginia Tech respectfully and I model my game from them.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I play with a dog mentality. I’m able to play with in the team and game plan and do my job effectively imposing my will on opponents. I will do whatever it takes to help my team Win. I’ve started and played QB RB Slot WR CB S LB.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Kappa League leadership program President”s award from school Honor Roll

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through my Kappa Legie program we develop leadership skills through various activities. We are required to participate in community service programs. We are currently doing a toy drive for the Holiday season. I’ve been a captain on my respective teams

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Honor math class has been a challenge. Making Nationals for track in the 100 200 and long jump and having to practice and participate with a sore muscle.

What type of college are you looking for?

A 4 year college that gives me the best opportunity to showcase my talents. I’ve always had high interest in Stanford university.

The top performing defensive back at the Next Northeast camp, Cameron People was electric from start to finish. There was very little you could critique in what Cameron showed on the field Saturday afternoon. With an athletic build, Cameron dominated as he went from one drill to the next, showing he has the versatility to thrive anywhere in the secondary.

Cameron displayed lethal quickness in the L-drill (4.85 sec.), showing that he can move fluidly with fast feet as he changes directions. During the live drills against the WRs, I was thoroughly impressed with how quickly he could get his hips around to open up and get out of his back peddle. Cameron made it very difficult for any of the QBs to find success against him on vertical routes. In the positional drills, Cameron showed off his hand, explosiveness, and tracking skills by climbing the ladder and high pointing the ball. With a broad jump like Cameron has (8’3″ ft), he has the ability to pounce for the ball like few others in his age group can.
