ranks as an “ATH” thanks to his skillset that allows him to contribute on both sides of the ball at Sun Valley. Penzone’s value is likely at one of the corner spots. Yes, he’s a bit smaller than your average/standard college corner, yet I can tell he’s relying on more than athleticism out there. This is a smart DB who I’ve witnessed utilizing leverage to his advantage. You don’t have to be 6’1 to get wideouts off of their paths, you don’t have to be 6’1 to flip your hips and run while remaining on the hip of targets downfield. On the receiving end of plenty of misdirection sets behind the LOS. Yanonis, Cook, and Smith aren’t exactly burners out on the turf, Penzone can provide some spark in the form of burst and acceleration that the offense would naturally lack. Can provide I/O slot reps, there’s so much you can do with an athlete like this. Stationing Penzone and using his skills at the right time and place could flip the momentum of a game, he holds that kind of impact on both sides of the ball. Tough to pinpoint where his future position at the next level could be if he chooses to pursue college ball.

came to put in work. Testing once again very overall, we were flipping back and forth for Penzone’s selection he made it that difficult. One of the top remaining uncommited prospects for the class of 2025, the Sun Valley star did nothing but help his stock this past Saturday.

is a good athlete who played cornerback and slot wide receiver last year for Sun Valley. At cornerback, he shows good coverage skills. Penzone also showed good run support by coming upfield to make tackles in the open field. At slot receiver, Penzone is a weapon. He is used in the run game on jet sweeps, and other handoffs. He is also used in the passing game on bubble screens and other short passes. When he gets the ball in his hands, he shows good speed and elusiveness to make defenders miss. Penzone shows good traits on offense and defense.

A tough little bull that can run is what I saw watching Penzone live at the showcase. Here is what I said a couple weeks ago:
Standing at 5’7 you might think he would have trouble with his not ideal size, but that could not have been further from the case yesterday. Running a 4.6 40, Penzone can fly and is a physical safety who can deliver some pop.
