Quarterbacks:
Jerek Cooper Jerek Cooper 6’1″ | 190 lbs | QB Emmaus | 2026 State PA was one of the top 5 performers at the showcase and earned a 2nd team recognition as a quarterback. Cooper has excellent mechanics and does a nice job of setting his feet to throw the ball. Cooper did well the entire showcase but then turned it on during one-on-one drills. Cooper was outstanding throughout the entire showcase.
Highlights
Tre Henning Tre Henning 6’0″ | 180 lbs | QB St. Joseph’s Prep | 2025 State PA was also one of the top 5 performers at the showcase as he displayed a good passing ability all day. Henning has excellent mechanics. He does a good job setting his feet and delivering a good football. Henning has all the tools to be an excellent quarterback this season.
For the 2nd camp in a row, Mikal Shank stood out. He was overshadowed at both camps, by 5 other quarterbacks, but he still shows a ton of skills at quarterback. If we ranked the top 6 quarterbacks he was number 6. Throughout the camp, Shank displayed good mechanics and quickly threw the ball. He has excellent footwork and shows a strong arm. For a 2027 prospect, his mechanics are good. Shank is a talented prospect and I cannot wait to see him play in the fall.
Highlights
Running Backs:
Desmond Ortiz Desmond Ortiz 5’8″ | 180 lbs | RB La Salle College | 2026 State PA was one of the most consistent performers at the Prep Redzone Showcase. Throughout the entire camp, he was consistent. He was good during testing, position drills, and the one-on-one competition. Ortiz is primed to have a huge Junior year.
Chris Scruggs was one of the most outstanding running backs at the showcase. He stood out at all the drills and did a nice job during individual drills. Scruggs showed that he can catch the ball out of the backfield well. He has excellent hands. Scruggs is a talented running back with a bright future.
Highlights
Gabe Green is another outstanding running back who earned a 2nd team recognition. He showed good feet and burst all day at the showcase. In particular when he got to the one-on-one competitions he took over. He was hard for defenders to guard. Green is a legit prospect in the 2026 class.
Wide Receivers:
Ryker Kennedy Ryker Kennedy 6’0″ | 180 lbs | ATH North Catholic | 2026 PA was a stand-out at the showcase during the entire time. In particular, he showed a good ability to run routes. He does a nice job making subtle moves when he runs routes. Kennedy then showed a good ability to get opened against one-on-one coverage. Kennedy has elite tools as a wide receiver.
Luke Hardy Luke Hardy 6’2″ | 185 lbs | WR Malvern Prep | 2025 State PA was one of the talented wide receivers at the showcase and earned a 2nd team performance. Hardy showed a good ability in all the position drills. Then when it came to running routes he showed he was a technician at running routes. Hardy is a talented wide receiver who should be in for a big year for Malvern Prep this season.
Highlights
Cade Cooper Cade Cooper 6’2″ | 175 lbs | WR Malvern Prep | 2027 State PA is a big physical wide receiver. He showed good athleticism at the showcase as well. Cooper did well the entire camp but especially did a good job during one-on-one drills. Most defensive backs had a hard time stopping him. Cooper is one of the most talented players in the 2027 class.
Angelo Laprade
Angelo Laprade
Angelo Laprade was a prospect that most of the Prep Redzone Staff had never heard of, but at the end of the showcase, he earned a well-respected place as a 2nd team spot. Laprade is a good athlete that runs well. He shows a good ability to get in and out of his breaks. Laprade is a talented prospect in the 2027 class and I cannot wait to see his progress.
Tight Ends:
Madox Decker Madox Decker 6’3″ | 205 lbs | TE Brockway | 2027 State PA had an impressive showcase. During the portion, I saw he ran excellent routes. He did a nice job of getting in and out of his breaks. Decker also shows excellent hands and did a good job of running routes against defenders. Decker showed he has a ton of potential at tight end.
Highlights
Aiden Cook Aiden Cook 6’1″ | LB Sun Valley | 2025 State PA did an excellent job at the showcase. He showed wide receiver skills at tight end. He runs well for a tight end and displayed good skills all day running routes. Then when the ball is thrown in his direction he does a good job getting his hands on the ball. Cook has all the tools to play well at tight end.
Offensive Line:
Nick Micewski Nick Micewski 6’3″ | 265 lbs | OL Central Bucks South | 2025 State PA is a talented offensive lineman who earned 2nd team selection. The 1st thing that stands out with him is his stance. He does a great job in his stance and firing off the ball. He also uses his hands well. He has all the tools of an excellent offensive lineman.
Highlights
Chase Walters Chase Walters 6’3″ | 260 lbs | OL Conwell-Egan | 2026 State PA was one of the standouts from the showcase and earned a 2nd team selection. Walters has great size and moves well for someone that size. He also shows good fundamentals and moves well. Walters was one of the most consistent linemen we had at the showcase. He is a talented offensive lineman who should only get better.
