is a talented athlete who plays as a quarterback for Emmaus, but he projects as an athlete at the next level. As a quarterback, he has excellent skills as he has a good arm and solid mechanics. As an athlete, he is very talented and has great skills that could translate to a wide receiver or a defensive back at the College level. Cooper, not having an offer, is surprising, as he has demonstrated a good ability as an athlete to play in College Football. He did visit Lehigh for Junior Day, which would be a perfect landing spot for him. I would expect he will get some offers at some point during the season.
Had an Amazing time at @LehighFootball for a junior day! It was great watching practice and the great energy throughout it! Thank you to @LU_CoachMac,@CoachDanHunt, @coach_cahill, and the rest of the staff for having me today! pic.twitter.com/yCpnNaC9U6

is an electric prospect out of Emmaus High. The 6’1 | 190lb prospect is somebody you need to contain in the pocket, or else he will use his legs to make you pay. This is a prospect that plays the game freely. Cooper throws the deep ball well, and loves to throw it. His big play ability is a big reason for Emmaus’s offensive success this season! One thing I’d like to see more from Jerek is for him to settle in the pocket and pick apart defenses. One thing is for sure the kid can ball! Keep an eye on the #15 ranked ATH in the state!

for the 2nd team offense, but he also needs a look to increase his rankings. Cooper is a talented quarterback who does a nice job with quarterback fundamentals. He has excellent mechanics and throws the ball well. Cooper is a talented QB whose ranking should improve.

was one of the top 5 performers at the showcase and earned a 2nd team recognition as a quarterback. Cooper has excellent mechanics and does a nice job of setting his feet to throw the ball. Cooper did well the entire showcase but then turned it on during one-on-one drills. Cooper was outstanding throughout the entire showcase.

‘s V/JV tape, he’s ranked a bit lower as it’s tough to create a real eval off of junior varsity film. Sherman provides some quality reps, he looks the part.

, another Emmaus QB prospect, has also caught my eye. I’m totally out of the loop when it comes to future intentions, I see the tape and I rank accordingly. I am aware that Cooper started three games for Emmaus last Fall, that alone bumps him ahead of Sherman at the moment. Over 500+ scrimmage yards accumulated throughout said three starts, Cooper provides duality to an offense that values athleticism. Build is acceptable when projecting to next level. Muscular and toned up, carries a wideout/DB build. Operates out of the traditional Emmaus offense, ton of shotgun work with twins/trips set out, often with a back in the backfield. First thing that caught my eye wasn’t necessarily a good thing. Cooper’s feet during his dropback are a bit off-putting. A ton of skipping/hopping, happy feet, and inconsistencies can be seen through three-step drops from Gun. Cooper still nearly broke the Top 30 in a historically talented QB class despite this, as well as only starting three games. Everything else moving forward on tape has me thinking a star could be developing behind center for Emmaus. Cooper might be new to the position, which would explain any awkward movement issues, he is still a sophomore I might add. Cooper starts his tape off with a rope to a post against an open middle of the field. I stress that his footwork needs tuning during a dropback, it looks good in terms of setting his base, marrying his eyes with his feet. Love the reps where he works a mesh with his back, pulls, and delivers a strike on a slant. Some QBs with more experience are unwilling to deliver balls into tight windows like this. Accurate and on time when asked to throw on the run. Is a real threat to tuck on meshes and gash a defense for first downs and more. Is a clear candidate to move into the Top 20 next update. Has some wideout reps on same tape. Rest of his tape shows off his capabilities as an OLB, tough to not love this kid on both sides of the ball. Very likely to be designated as an “ATH” moving forward.
