These are the five Class of 2025 athletes who have consistently impressed me the most and are trending toward rising further in the next rankings update. This should go without saying, but these five players are also some of the hardest workers I’ve ever come across!
Drew is set for a huge rankings boost. I can name very few players who have worked as hard as Drew has over the past three years. At the start of his HS Football journey, he was an average athlete without too much natural talent. Since then, Drew has worked his tail off, and he’s molded himself into a Division 1 prospect at an extremely challenging position. His 2023 season was one for the books. He began the season by locking up a D1 Tight End and continued the season locking up several other great receivers. Not only that, but his testing numbers back up his performances. Drew holds the Prep Redzone MI Combine record in the L-Drill, and places near the top in the broad jump and shuttle. I’m now officially sold on Drew, and he’s someone I can’t see doing anything except succeeding at the next level.

Cason is someone else who is due for a big rankings boost, and this Quarterback class in general is set for a few shakeups. Whenever I find something to nitpick about Cason’s game, he proves me wrong. Over the past three years, Cason has transformed himself from an average-at-best quarterback to receiving Division 1 offers. He started off by significantly improving his accuracy, then his IQ, and now, I’m seeing improvements with his fundamentals. On top of those improvements, Cason has led his team to one state championship appearance and two semifinal appearances. Cason is a certified winner who should continue to improve heading into his Senior season and beyond.

Early in Reed’s high school career, I made a big mistake in ranking him extremely high. That isn’t to diss him; it’s my fault, but ever since I looked more into him and ranked him where I thought he belonged, he’s done nothing but steadily climb the ranks once more. I honestly didn’t like his sophomore film, and I didn’t have high expectations for last season. Completely curbing my expectations, Blake went out there and earned All-State honors for his time at Linebacker. He played with great aggressiveness and motor, and truly dominated the KLAA. With some athletic and further IQ improvements, I’d expect Reed to receive MORE D2 offers.

In an absolutely loaded receiver class, Connor has been able to cut through the noise. Better yet, he’s doing it at a lesser-known school in Southwest Michigan. He’s been working his tail off for as long as I can remember. Connor has done his best to mold his body and mind to where they need to be. Athletically, Connor tests well above-average in all areas. He’s fast, twitchy, and can change direction on a dime. He’s also done a lot to improve his route-running and his hands- something he used to struggle with. Connor received an offer from Kent State back in December, and I would bet that more offers will come soon.

Ethan is actually someone who I was high on before his first offer from SVSU. Very early on, I noticed him dominating run blocks while getting a lot more pass-blocking reps than most- because of Heritage’s offensive scheme. Since then, he’s improved his body, fundamentals, etc. Ethan keeps on climbing the rankings, and keeps on receiving MAC, Armed Forces, and Ivy league offers.
