Expert Analysis
Alex Pallone | Prep Redzone Scout
In an absolutely loaded receiver class, Connor has been able to cut through the noise. Better yet, he’s doing it at a lesser-known school in Southwest Michigan. He’s been working his tail off for as long as I can remember. Connor has done his best to mold his body and mind to where they need to be. Athletically, Connor tests well above-average in all areas. He’s fast, twitchy, and can change direction on a dime. He’s also done a lot to improve his route-running and his hands- something he used to struggle with. Connor received an offer from Kent State back in December, and I would bet that more offers will come soon.

Connor is one of those guys who’s been working relentlessly on his game for years. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched him at camps, and he’s one of the prospects I know best. Connor is a good route runner, athletic, and can make difficult catches. I haven’t seen Connor in a while, but if I were to knock one thing about his game it would be that he sometimes failed to look the ball in, resulting in drops. Otherwise, he’s an extremely hard-working receiver who, like Mason, works on the little things. More good showings at offseason camps should earn him more MAC or GLIAC attention.

Connor is a prospect I am extremely high on due to his route running and agility. He has made strides in coming down with contested balls and making tough catches. He is physical off the ball and it’s really hard to knock him off his route. He can run anything in the passing tree and knows how to sell other routes along the way. I have seen him start to collect some offers, and I think that is only going to ramp up in the near future.

Connor has a strong case to be on the offensive part of this list, but I think he is really underrated as a DB. He’s got some really strong fundamentals and has all the athleticism to keep up with a variety of receivers, and as a good WR, he is able to play the ball really well on the defensive side. I love watching him play WR, but I think he could really shock some people when he shows off what he can do in the secondary.
