Following my breakdown of the top freshman playmakers, here’s five stockrising 2027s in Kentucky to keep an eye on this upcoming fall.
In the first place spot on my list is Jonah Arnett Jonah Arnett 6’1″ | 160 lbs | ATH Raceland | 2027 State KY , an athlete at Raceland High School. What impresses me about Arnett is his ability to blast into enemy territory from along the edge to get wide open for the deep pass. On the other side of the ball, I like Arnett’s awareness, his ability to read the quarterback and his ability to pick up speed, jumping in front of the ball for the interception.

I am additionally impressed with Jemari Hayden Jemari Hayden 5’9″ | 175 lbs | RB Ballard | 2027 KY , a running back at Ballard High School. In addition to excellent size and speed, Hayden stands out with his physicality and durable edge in the pocket, showcasing his arm strength and ability to create running room. I also like Hayden’s breakaway speed as well as his efficiency in keeping the play alive under heavy defensive pressure.
Claiming the number three spot on my list is Gunner Holbrook Gunner Holbrook 6’0″ | 190 lbs | QB Letcher County Central | 2027 KY , a quarterback at Letcher County Central High School. Holbrook stands out with his quick execution, his ability to maneuver the pocket and his ability to complete the deep pass. I also like Holbrook’s composure under pressure, his ability to shake tackles, his careful decision-making and his ability to calculate his throws in crucial moments.

Another skilled prospect to keep an eye on is Kaleb Warner Kaleb Warner WR Trinity | 2027 KY , a wide receiver at Trinity High School. On top of great execution and versatility, Warner’s ability to utilize his breakaway speed and physical edge makes him a challenge to contain down the stretch as he can get in prime position for the short pass and elevate off the ground to haul in the deep ball.
Coming in at number five on my list is Eastin Ervin Eastin Ervin 5’9″ | 280 lbs | OL South Warren | 2027 KY , an offensive lineman at South Warren High School. Ervin stands out at the line of scrimmage due to his size and core strength, proving he can absorb defensive pressure and quickly adapt to the defensive line’s strength. I also like Ervin’s ability to use his wingspan to stun and overpower his opponent in the pocket.
