has been on my radar for a while now and continued to impress as a junior. He completed 138/234 passes for 1,986 yards, 26 touchdowns, and seven interceptions in 11 games. Gunner throws an impressive deep ball, showing the arm strength to stretch the field along with the touch to put the ball in a spot where only his intended receiver can catch it. In the short/intermediate passing game, he puts a good amount of zip on his passes, hitting his receivers out of their breaks with ease so that they can make catches in stride. He also finished his junior year with 46 carries for 130 yards and four touchdowns. Gunner is a quarterback who I expect college coaches to have on their radar this offseason.

is a quarterback who jumped onto my radar with a very impressive sophomore season in which he completed 129/235 passes for 2,174 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Holbrook has a great feel for the defense as he is able to scan the secondary to find the open target with ease. He has also shown impressive ball placement, putting the ball in a spot where only his intended receiver can catch it. Gunner has received some college interest and I expect his recruitment to continue to heat up heading into his junior season.

had a breakout season in 2024, completing 129/235 passes for 2,174 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 12 games. Holbrook does a great job of reading the secondary and going through his progressions to find the open receiver. Once he finds the open receiver, he has shown impressive accuracy, putting the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. Holbrook also finished this past season with 59 carries for 128 yards and four touchdowns. Gunner is a player who I expect college coaches to be paying close attention to heading into his junior year.

I liked Holbrook’s ability to punch through the defense himself and blast into the endzone for the score. Holbrook also stood out with his passing ability, showcasing excellent accuracy in the air.

Like Zane Johnson above, Holbrook is also a returner off last year’s seventh-grade Kentucky Future Stars team at the quarterback position. Holbrook had a tremendous middle school career at Fleming-Neon Middle School in both football and basketball. On the gridiron he’s a dual-threat kid who keeps the defense on its toes as to whether or not he’s going to pass the ball. The 6-foot, 155-pounder is also a 1,000-point scorer on the basketball court. While Zane Johnson brings the more natural passing ability, Holbrook will serve as the more athletic quarterback. Kentucky has a real nice mix here.
