Seven sacks to his name, triple that number in terms of TFLs. Upper Dauphin’s Eoghan Savage Eoghan Savage 6’3″ | 215 lbs | DL Upper Dauphin | 2027 State PA put together quite the debut tape, impressive from a production perspective, as well as from a future prospect point of view. Pass-rushing and edge-setting tools are there to be fine-tuned, can witness him controlling TEs and tackles with his post-arm, shedding inside or out, which ever he sees fit. Slippery hands combined with a good burst/get-off have him winning reps early and often. Looks to have a clear attack plan after shedding, not every young pass rusher can flip the switch between shedding and hunting, Eoghan disengages and seeks out the ball carrier in a flash, great trait. Great motor, a 6’3, 215-pound frame to work with. Watch for UD to explore Savage at TE this coming Fall.

STANDOUT TRAIT ON TAPE: Read & React skills at all positions, Awareness
Can witness Secrest align at several different spots on the field. Can align in the backfield at FB or H-Back. Secrest provides a wide variety of athletic traits, you can expect him to take carries, block, or run to the flat from FB/H-Back positions, expect it all offensively. Secrest could more than likely align as an in-line or split-out tight-end on top of this, although not much of this on tape. Exemplary play on defense. Carries a traditional LB build, yet can align at traditional 4-3 DE. Blown away by this kid’s R&R skills, have to remind myself of his age. A freshman with this kind of awareness on both sides of the ball is rare. Understands how to set edges, understands when to take blocks head-on or when to stretch/pinch. Secrest is a game-wrecker, he can force turnovers, score on offense, rack up TFLs and sacks, this is a future top-tier prospect.
STANDOUT TRAIT ON TAPE: Potential
Mentioned this in previous articles concerning Downingtown East’s Abraham Sesay Abraham Sesay 6’3″ | 205 lbs | DL Downingtown East | 2027 State PA , the majority of Sesay’s tape comes against JV competition, so I cannot provide a full evaluation based on his freshman tape alone. Sesay still ranks inside the top 50 due to sheer potential. Sticks out like a sore thumb against JV comp, currently stands at 6’4, 205 pounds, up from the measurables we posted back in February. I’d bet the house on this kid, likely a future star on the turf so long as he stays in the weight room and listens to his coaching staff. Likely to be a two-way weapon, TE and DE reps are in his immediate future. Is a track and basketball participant.

STANDOUT TRAIT ON TAPE: Length, two-way potential
Kade Barton Kade Barton 6’5″ | 185 lbs | TE Bishop Canevin | 2027 State PA is another placement based on potential. 6’5, 180, a somewhat limited tape on Hudl. Bishop Canevin has an impressive history developing young talent, I could rattle off numerous athletes BC has shipped off to collegiate programs across the state. Kade Barton Kade Barton 6’5″ | 185 lbs | TE Bishop Canevin | 2027 State PA has the length and the two-way potential to blossom into the next star D1s clamor for two years from now. A lot of things need to fall into place, a ton of off-season work needs to be put in. Barton’s a name to stash for those looking for potential top-tier TE and DE prospect out West. Not enough quality reps on tape for me to formulate a real evaluation.

STANDOUT TRAIT ON TAPE: Pocket Poise, In-Rhythm Accuracy
Flaunted chemistry and timing with top target Jalil Hall Jalil Hall 6’4″ | 190 lbs | WR Bonner & Prendie | 2025 State PA , among other Bonner weapons I might add. Solid build, his poise in the pocket amplifies any potential deficiencies in terms of footwork/height. His abilities in the pocket stand out first. Gatling trusts his reads, trusts his footwork, works a real dropback even if he has potential threats/penetration in his face. Good pacing in dropback that matches the breaks of his weapons. Head and eyes downfield, has no problem climbing a pocket and delivering accurate strikes. You don’t see happy feet, you don’t see helmet-bobble, there’s a calmness Gatling brings to the table, it stands out on tape. Gatling also shows off a replicable release, consistent on tape. Consistent mechs lead to accurate and confident passing, once you’ve witnessed Gatling’s release the first time, it’s likely you’ve seen him replicate said follow-through throughout his tape. Excited to see him develop.
