- 6’6, 230 pounds. Saw him play a bit of TE this past weekend, a first at least while I was present. In contention for the #1 spot on our 2027 rankings, currently sits at the four spot.
- Biggest takeaway was seeing how far along Sesay has come from a body transformation perspective. I have been to a Downingtown East game each of the last four years, seeing him look as filled out and chiseled as he way makes me that much more comfortable about his potential at Notre Dame. Ton of pure speed to burn around the edge, Sesay spent time up against a Division One caliber tackle in Rodney Gray Rodney Gray 6'2" | 320 lbs | OL Imhotep | 2027 PA , someone who fits the body type Sesay is expected to play against while at Notre Dame. Sesay succeeded. His get-off remained effective despite Northeast’s offense changing cadences and snap timing. Love Sesay post-winning at the LOS, can flatten his path in a hurry to chase down mobile QBs, is a willing helper in run support, not a one-trick pony in the sense of solely searching for sacks. Closing speed is easily some of the best I’ve ever seen while scouting the Northeast for past 6 years. Can convert his initial burst into a pass-rush plan rather than simply rely on speed around less-athletic tackles. What I witnessed this past weekend was Sesay at his best, plain and simple. The best version of him is yet to come.
- The argument could be had that St. Peter’s Prep’s OT Olu Olu could be the crown jewel of Notre Dame’s 2027 recruiting class, yet I have to pound the table for Sesay being the best prospect amongst 2027 ND commits. Committed back in June, Sesay is accompanied by standout EDGE rushers Aidan O’Neil (NJ) and Jackson Vaughn (FL), both of which have equal opportunity to flourish in the coming years at ND.

is one of the best players in the state. He is a dynamic edge defender who is impossible to block one-on-one. You rarely see defenders with his size (6’6″) and athleticism. He is already committed to Notre Dame, which is incredible for him. Sesay has one more season to dominate until he is done.

headlines the “Junior Day Spotlight” as one of the most intriguing defensive edge rushers defining Pennsylvania football in the Class of 2027. At 6-foot-5, Sesay possesses outstanding length and frame potential that immediately stands out when you turn on the film. He explodes out of his stance with impressive burst, quickly threatening the edge and forcing offensive tackles into uncomfortable positions. His combination of size and speed allows him to win with raw athleticism, often beating blockers before they can properly set their feet. Sesay flashes the elite twitch and natural tools that college programs covet at the edge position. What makes him even more dangerous is how consistently his upside shows up on tape, as he disrupts plays in both the backfield and along the perimeter.

is an impressive athlete who shows good traits for an edge defender. He has great size (6’5″) and speed for an edge defender. He explodes out of his stance and then uses his athletic ability to attack offensive tackles. He has elite tools and twitch that every football team wants. He has so much potential that it shows up in his film. Sesay constantly beats offensive tackles with his raw athletic ability. He also has time to put on more weight on his frame and get stronger in the weight room, but no doubt about it, Sesay has elite traits. He recently picked up an offer from Temple, I expect more offers to come his way.

6’4, 205 pounds. The same height/weight combination registered before the season. Interested in whether or not Sesay has added to his frame in anyway. Sesay is an intriguing prospect to dive into based on measurables and potential alone. We will dive into his fresh tape to provide context.
At 6’4″, Sesay has a significant advantage in terms of reach, which is crucial for an edge rusher or OLB. The length can disrupt passing lanes, making it difficult for quarterbacks to find open receivers in the short game, and can be used effectively to keep offensive linemen from getting into his chest. This height is beneficial for setting the edge against the run, allowing him to extend his arms to control blockers without being easily steered away from the flow of traffic. Sesay is still light in his pads. There is obvious room for growth if he still weighs in at 205. His current build provides positives and negatives. Sesay can work an explosive quick/initial step, he can get skinny and work laterally to penetrate a front. He’s going to have to put on more weight if he wants to win against some of the best tackles HS has to offer, yet there are two things to consider. One, Sesay is still an underclassman. Two, a college program isn’t going to harp on a 6’4 OLB/EDGE rusher being 20-25 pounds too light, they will get him in the building if they like him enough and make sure this weight is gained.
Was recently named to the Ches-Mont North Division 1st-Team along with several other Downingtown West players. Is a basketball player, worth mentioning. Looking at Sesay, his game isn’t all agility/speed based. If given the opportunity, he can gain positive downhill momentum that can make his 205 feel like 230 easily. Can flirt with the TE position. Can play with his hand on or off the dirt. Good motor and pursuit of the ball carrier. Is an early offer candidate in my opinion.

, the majority of Sesay’s tape comes against JV competition, so I cannot provide a full evaluation based on his freshman tape alone. Sesay still ranks inside the top 50 due to sheer potential. Sticks out like a sore thumb against JV comp, currently stands at 6’4, 205 pounds, up from the measurables we posted back in February. I’d bet the house on this kid, likely a future star on the turf so long as he stays in the weight room and listens to his coaching staff. Likely to be a two-way weapon, TE and DE reps are in his immediate future. Is a track and basketball participant.

is a long and explosive athlete. His film is really good, but it was either at the Freshman or Junior Varsity level. He has a super quick 1st step and just explodes off the ball. He is a raw athlete, but offensive tackles could not stay in front of him. Then when he reaches the backfield he is a good athlete to chase down plays all over the field. He also can knock passes down with his long arms. Sesay is a talented player and I cannot wait to see his progress in the future.

Another big athlete in today’s write up is 2027 Abraham Sesay out of Exton, Pennsylvania. Only about 45 minutes from Philadelphia, Sesay is a really good looking athlete at 6-foot-3 and 175 pounds with an exceptionally long build. Over the next four years at Downingtown East High School, I can see him playing Wide Receiver or Tight End, depending on how he fills out. I’m a big fan of his ability to go up and get the ball at its highest point and fight through traffic to make impressive grabs On the other side of the ball, Defensive End/Outside Linebacker/Edge rusher are all still on the table for a kid like this. Has the potential to be highly recruited.
