About Landon

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a center and noseguard and I play with high energy, and focus on doing the little things that help my team win. I take pride in my job every play as an offensive lineman. I focus on strong technique and staying low.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a team first player with a strong work ethic and competitive mindset. As one of 3 team captains, I’ve learned how to lead my example, stay positive, and hold myself and my teammates accountable.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

My family and I get really involved into charity, we host a charity softball tournament every year to raise money for cancer and help kids get through college.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong discipline and work ethic through consistent training and pushing to improve myself every day. I work hard to be a reliable teammate. I’ve also developed leadership qualities by encouraging teammates and setting a positive example.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I overcame was spraining my ankle during a game. I was frustrated because I didn’t want to let my team down, but I also had to focus and play smart. I finished the game with a leg wrap then took recovery seriously. Following rehab and staying disciplined I worked back to 100%. That experience taught me how to push through adversity while also taking care of my body.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a strong balance of academics and football, where I can compete at high levels and continue to develop as a player.
