The Under Armour camp circuit made their annual stop in the Dallas/Fort Worth area on Sunday. Some of the top Oklahomans routinely make the trip down to Texas and compete against some of Texas’ best as well as other top athletes from this region. Prep Redzone Oklahoma was there to cover Oklahoma’s talented standouts. We got a good chance to see each Oklahoma prospect in attendance and have a breakdown on each.
Moore 2025 standout CJ Simon CJ Simon 6’0″ | 160 lbs | WR Moore | 2025 State OK was electric and one of the better slot receivers we watched on Sunday. Simon has been on our radar since his freshman season and his versatility has always been something that has stood out to us. Whether it’s at running back, wide receiver or kick returner, Simon makes plays. And on Sunday, Simon put in work at the receiver position and when it was time to go into one on ones, he worked from the inside and was leaving defensive backs in the dust. He’s twitchy and precise with his routes and that’s a tough combination to defend. Simon really impressed and this is a big offseason for him.
Highlights
Checotah 2025 wide receiver and Oklahoma commit Elijah Thomas Elijah Thomas 6’0″ | WR Checotah | 2025 State OK was without a doubt one of the more impressive prospects in attendance on Sunday. In a group of about 50-60 wide receivers, Thomas emerged as one of two MVP winners for his position group. And that was a no brainer after watching Thomas in action during the one on one drills. Time after time, Thomas was absolutely burning his opponent and they had no chance. There were a few times when he created up to ten yards of separation. Thomas earned All State 1st Team honors in 2023 and his stock continues to be pointing up in a big way.
Deer Creek 2025 quarterback Grady Adamson Grady Adamson 6’1″ | 215 lbs | QB Deer Creek | 2025 State OK absolutely flourished on Sunday in Dallas. Oklahoma had a good group of quarterbacks in attendance and Adamson might have been the best of the bunch. The arm talent with him was very impressive to watch in person and he continues to be a quarterback to watch in Oklahoma. The Deer Creek standout showcased more of his ability on the run last fall but Sunday, it was all about his arm talent. And Adamson is part of that absolutely elite group of 2025 quarterbacks that could be the best QB class in state history. Adamson has a very busy spring and summer ahead of him.
Highlights
Mustang 2026 wide receiver Jaden Johnson Jaden Johnson 6’1″ | WR Mustang | 2026 State OK had a breakout season last fall and we were fired up to see him in person for the first time since the fall. Johnson really impressed at the wide receiver position and he’s going to have a chance to be really special moving forward. Johnson was incredibly productive last fall and was one of 6A-1’s top wide receivers as a sophomore so the ceiling is incredibly high. Watching him go to work on Sunday, he did a good job of competing with opposing defensive backs and he made some pretty special catches. After last fall’s breakout season, we’re looking forward to what he does for an encore.
Muskogee 2025 quarterback Jamarian Ficklin Jamarian Ficklin 6’1″ | 180 lbs | QB Muskogee | 2025 State OK was right there with Adamson as the most impressive quarterback from Oklahoma on Sunday. And that’s not a new position for Ficklin. We’ve written countless articles about the Muskogee standout over the last 18 months and we stand by every word. He’s one of the best in Oklahoma and on a big stage in Dallas, he showed why. He can make so many different throws and he impressed the coaches that were working the camp. Ficklin attended this event last year and came back this spring even stronger. Like we’ve said, every time we see the Muskogee star in person, he does something special.
Nathan Hale 2025 offensive lineman Javion Antai Javion Antai 6’4″ | 300 lbs | OL Nathan Hale | 2025 State OK continues to be one of the top OL prospects in the state’s 2025 class. He had a really good offseason last year when we got a chance to see him in spring ball and then at a camp. He’s continuing to build on that this offseason. On Sunday, Antai primarily worked at one of the guard positions, which is perfect for him at the next level. Antai has played left tackle and right tackle at the high school level but with his size and athleticism, he’ll move to the interior for college. The OL/DL group had very limited time during 1 on 1’s and Antai held his own in a few of the reps on Sunday.
Mustang 2026 defensive back Jaytee Johnson Jaytee Johnson 6’0″ | DB Mustang | 2026 OK is the twin brother of Jaden and while Jaden was making plays on offense, Jaytee was impacting the defensive side of the ball. Like Jaden, this was our first chance to really see Jaytee up close and in person. The first thing that stood out to us was his size. He’s a good looking defensive back and then he started running around and he certainly looks the part physically. Unfortunately, Jaytee was the only Oklahoman working at defensive back and we didn’t get to see as much of him compared to the quarterbacks and wide receivers. But we’re looking forward to seeing him this spring.
Will Rogers Will Rogers DL Verdigris | 2026 OK 2025 defensive lineman Josiah Hammond Josiah Hammond 6’5″ | DL Union | 2025 State OK is a prospect that is going to continue to blow up this offseason. After not playing football in 2022, Hammond saw his first meaningful season of football last fall. So needless to say, there is a lot about Hammond’s game that is still raw. But the Will Rogers Will Rogers DL Verdigris | 2026 OK standout already has a few offers and that should only continue as we move towards the spring and summer months. Hammond was the only Oklahoman in the defensive line group and he was going against some absolute monsters on the offensive line. But Hammond had a good experience and he can build on it.

There were not many 2027 prospects in attendance on Sunday but Union quarterback Kason Delgado Kason Delgado 6’0″ | 170 lbs | QB Union | 2027 State OK was one of them. Delgado didn’t look like a freshman that was out of his element on Sunday and that was the thing that impressed us the most. He was in a group that featured plenty of quarterbacks that have D1 offers and Delgado looked like he belonged. The Union freshman signal caller is going to be a name to watch moving forward. We already got our first look at him during the second half of the regular season and he is having a terrific start to the offseason. He has shined in 7v7 tournaments and then again at the UA camp.
Highlights
Jenks 2026 standout KD Jones KD Jones 6’0″ | 170 lbs | ATH Jenks | 2026 State OK has a stranglehold on the #1 spot in the state’s 2026 prospect rankings and it doesn’t look like he’s giving it up anytime soon. Jones put in work at the running back position on Sunday and that was after he was an absolute star as a cornerback in our 7v7 tournament the weekend before. It’s safe to say that Jones is one of the best athletes in the state’s 2026 class and on Sunday he really did a good job at the running back position. Simply put, he dominated during one on ones and was consistently a verbal leader in that position group. Fresh off a visit to OU, Jones really impressed on Sunday.
Choctaw 2026 quarterback Landon Gatson Landon Gatson 6’3″ | 210 lbs | QB Choctaw | 2026 State OK continues to be one of the more physically impressive quarterbacks in the state. Watching Gatson in person and seeing him throw the ball around, it doesn’t much to be impressed with what he’s bringing to the table. Now, we’re having to wait and see what Gatson can do at the varsity level after he had limited time at QB last fall. But on Sunday, Gatson was firing on all cylinders. He was right there with Adamson from Deer Creek on the deep ball accuracy and the ball just jumps out of his hand. He’s certainly a prospect that we have our eye on and we want to see more.
Carl Albert 2025 linebacker and Oklahoma commit Marcus James Marcus James 6’3″ | ATH Carl Albert | 2025 State OK was the only linebacker to come down from Oklahoma on Sunday. And in a camp like this, it’s tough for linebackers to stand out. It’s similar to 7v7 tournaments where it’s only about their pass coverage skills and they aren’t allowed to be physical. And that is one of the best parts of James and his game on the defensive side of the ball. But James was able to put in work on Sunday in pass coverage and those skills will continue to improve as he works on his quickness and overall movement. James has been locked in to OU since November and nothing has changed.
Norman North 2026 standout Mason James Mason James 5’11” | 155 lbs | WR Norman North | 2026 State OK is one of the hottest recruits in Oklahoma today. In late October, OU became his first D1 offer and the offers have been pouring in ever since. And on Sunday, James was right there with the other top wide receivers on this breakdown. James was very similar to Simon where it was his twitchy cuts and precise route running that allowed him to get plenty of separation. In fact, we made the joke on Twitter (or X) that James was too fast for his Under Armour cleats, as he came out of them on a couple occasions when he was accelerating. He has a very high ceiling as a prospect.

Sand Springs 2026 offensive lineman Ryley Kester Ryley Kester 6’4″ | 265 lbs | OL Charles Page | 2026 State OK has been on our radar since the summer prior to his freshman season. He hasn’t disappointed and has continued to grow as one of the state’s very best at his position. Kester worked at the center position on Sunday and he impressed us once again. Kester came to our camp last April and he walked away with the MVP award for his position. And the thing that stood out to us that day was the same thing that stood out to us on Sunday. The mean streak. Kester looks to punish his opponents and he only has one mission when the ball is snapped and that’s to put his opponent down.
