Continue ReadingWinton Woods has produced a number of talented running backs over the last several years. Isaiah “Zeek” Garrett looks to be the next in line. Garrett has an explosive burst and gets downhill in a hurry. He has the speed to turn any play into a home run. One think I really like about Garrett is that he doesn’t dance and there’s little wasted energy. He gets to the hole and he’s focused on getting up field. Zeek has good contact balance and the ability to absorb contact and stay on his feet. As he continues to get bigger and stronger he’s going to be a force in the Warriors run game and one that will add P4 offers to those he’s already collected from Kentucky, Purdue, and Michigan.
Andyriq is a running back who’d have seen varsity action at many schools in Ohio, but that’s not so with the depth of talent at the position at Pickerington North. Andyriq is an explosive running back who display great vision. He’s sudden in in the open field. He can stop and go on a dime. That explosiveness combined with his vision make him a very dificult player to get down. Defenses are forced to gang tackle a player like Thomas. He has the necessary speed to hit big plays as well. Thomas has an athletic build with the frame to continue to add good weight. The future is bright for this young running back!

Ferri is a speedster out of the backfield for the Explorers. When he gets the ball in his hands he accelerates in a hurry and has the speed to take it the distance. Reno has powerful drive that he uses to run though arm tackles. Reno has good vision and is decisive in his cuts and choosing his running lanes. He has the strength to be a physical presence as a blocker in pass pro and in the run game as a lead blocker. I’m excited to see what the future holds as Ferri continues to get bigger and stronger.

Ratica is an impressive young tight end for the Lakota West Firebirds. As a 6’6 220-pound freshman, he already possesses an impressive frame. Xavier has good athleticism bend for a player his size. He’s a player who can be used both in-line as a blocker and pass catcher or split out wide. He’s a natural hands catcher who can catch the ball away from his body. Ratica is also a strong blocker both inside and in the open field. Xavier is already starting to get P4 interest, that interest should pick up this summer camp season.

Ballinger was utilized mostly as a blocker in his freshman season. He was used both inline and in motion as a lead blocker. Even in his blocking you can see he has really good feet and is a high-level athlete. Ballinger shows good strength and physicality for a freshman. This summer could put him on the college radar if he can show some good route running and receiving skills. I’m excited to see what the future holds for Jackson.
