Garrett had a solid game. He has good vision and patience as a runner. He is very explosive and elusive even in traffic. He just needs to continue to add good weight and get stronger.

Garrett burst onto the recruiting scene as a freshman with several P4 offers. Things have slowed a little since. Things have picked up again for Isaiah has he’s pulled offers from Toledo, Maryland, Kent State, and Bowling Green.
Isaiah or “Zeek” as he also goes by is a spark plug in the backfield. He’s explosive off of the snap. He hits the hole hard. He’s a decisive runner who runs with great vision. He knows how to set up and use blockers. Garrett runs with good pad level and is a tough tackle. Garrett also has good hands and is a pass catching threat out of the backfield. As Isaiah continues to fill out and get stronger his game and recruitment should continue to gain steam.

Isaiah had an excellent Sophomore season in 2024. His very good play helped the Winton Woods Warriors to a 10-win season where they averaged 27.4 points per game. He shows great elusiveness and contact balance breaking tackles with ease. He exhibits very good play speed as he turns the corner and outruns all defenders before scoring on a long TD run. He is great in the passing game as well. Showing great hands as he makes the catch and accelerates to top speed quickly before scoring easily.

Winton Woods has produced a number of talented running backs over the last several years. Isaiah “Zeek” Garrett looks to be the next in line. Garrett has an explosive burst and gets downhill in a hurry. He has the speed to turn any play into a home run. One think I really like about Garrett is that he doesn’t dance and there’s little wasted energy. He gets to the hole and he’s focused on getting up field. Zeek has good contact balance and the ability to absorb contact and stay on his feet. As he continues to get bigger and stronger he’s going to be a force in the Warriors run game and one that will add P4 offers to those he’s already collected from Kentucky, Purdue, and Michigan.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the talent-rich land of Ohio has a big-name rising freshman already on national blue-blood’s radars, and from what PRzNEXT National Scouting Director Al Pops has told me, Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati is set to welcome a stacked crop of 2027s into their ranks for the fall. Leading the pack is the high-profile RB Isaiah Garrett, who already holds offers from Michigan and Kentucky and has visited Cincinnati, Notre Dame, and Alabama this spring, solidifying himself on their big boards before his high school career has even begun. As an 8th grader, Garrett posted over 2,000 rushing yards and 20 TDs, along with an INT, a receiving TD, and a punt return TD in just seven games of action. There’s no verified or reported size on him yet, but the tape shows off a ball carrier that looks bigger than most of his peers on the gridiron, and who absolutely plays at a higher level than his age would suggest. His big-play speed, shifty COD ability and running style, contact balance, and burst combine to create a dominant youth RB whose highlights suggest he could play at the high school level as a middle schooler. It’s a commanding skill set whose physical presence and athleticism are rare finds for youth ball carriers. Winton Woods, as well as Ohio football in general, is very competitive, but Garrett is set to find the field far earlier than his peers and is looking like he’ll be one of the best RBs in his class across the United States.

. Garrett woke the recruiting world up this past January when he earned a verbal offer from the University of Michigan. The offer from the maize and blue caught some folks off guard, but if you saw any of his eighth-grade season–it’s not that surprising. The rocked up back led Winton Woods Middle School to a 7-0-1 record and Eastern Cincinnati Conference championship. He finished the year with 21 touchdowns and over 2,000 all-purpose yards. The rich get richer, as the Warriors already have a number of future D1 players on their roster, highlighted by 2024 ATH

. Not surprisingly, after the Michigan offer, the Buckeyes took notice. He’ll be in Columbus later this month for an unofficial visit.
