The annual C4 Red River Shootout took place in Durant on Saturday morning and afternoon. The Durant-based tournament has been one of the best one-day tourneys over the last few years and it lived up to the hype again. Prep Redzone Oklahoma was on site from start to finish and we got a chance to see some great football from Oklahoma and some of the surrounding states. In this breakdown, we take a look at some of the standouts from the Southtown Bandits, a team made up of the reigning 6A-1 champion Bixby Spartans in their first ever 7v7 tournament as a travel team. A lot of familiar faces on this breakdown.
2025 wide receiver Blake Hogshooter Blake Hogshooter 6’4″ | 190 lbs | WR Bixby | 2025 State OK is going to be one of the top wide receivers in Class 6A-1 this fall. He enjoyed a breakout season last fall and we think he takes it to another level in 2024. Hogshooter was a match-up nightmare all day on Saturday. There weren’t many defenses that had the ability to defend his long frame and that became a big problem in jump ball situations. We lost count of how many times he just ran a go pattern and they tossed it up to him and he went up and plucked it out of the air with a defender draped on him. He is having an outstanding offseason on the 7v7 circuit, looks like he’s added weight and is a big target.
Highlights
2026 quarterback Carson Kirby Carson Kirby 5’11” | 185 lbs | QB Bixby | 2026 State OK was the quarterback tossing it up to Hogshooter on Saturday and he certainly did a good job of putting the ball only where his receiver could get it. Kirby had a really strong day on Saturday and he is continuing to build that chemistry with his wide receivers and that will be something that’s big for the Spartans this fall. Kirby’s accuracy on the deep ball continues to impress us and Saturday he had that and then some. The last time we saw Kirby in person was a few weeks ago and he made a significant improvement from that tournament to this weekend. He’ll be one of the top returning quarterbacks in 6A-1.
2026 wide receiver Cetcher DeHart Cetcher DeHart 5’10” | 155 lbs | WR Bixby | 2026 State OK is on our short list of players in Class 6A-1 that we think will have a breakout season this fall. DeHart has really impressed us on the 7v7 circuit this offseason. Now, impressing in 7v7 tournaments is a little different than doing it on Friday nights in the fall but we think he’s on the path of that breakout season. First of all, DeHart catches everything thrown his way. Bixby needs to find new players to replace that production lost to graduation. DeHart is going to be in a good position to do just that this fall. This weekend, DeHart was once again a consistent receiver that ate up yards after the catch.
Highlights
2026 athlete Trey McGlothlin Trey McGlothlin 6’2″ | 175 lbs | ATH Bixby | 2026 State OK is in a similar boat to DeHart where we think that he has the potential to absolutely explode this fall in a breakout role for the Spartans. On Saturday, McGlothlin really did a good job on the defensive side of the ball but we’ve seen this 2026 prospect play on either side and do it at a high level. McGlothlin got plenty of playing time last fall on defense and that might be where he shines brightest. On Saturday, McGlothlin did an excellent job in pass coverage. There are several things that stand out about him as a possible breakout player. Athleticism, size and versatility in positions are at the top of that list.
