The updated top 150 for the class of 2026 in the state of Kentucky has been officially published! With that being said, I wanted to take the next week or so to break down these rankings by position. To kick things off, here are our top quarterbacks in the class of 2026 in the state of Kentucky.
Cam O’Hara Cam O’Hara 6’2″ | 180 lbs | QB Cooper | 2026 State KY continued to cement himself as the top quarterback in the state in his class this past season. He led Cooper to the 5A State Championship Game, completing 239/367 passes for 3,361 yards, 47 touchdowns, and seven interceptions in 15 games. O’Hara has a strong arm which he uses to stretch the field in the deep passing game. He also has shown impressive accuracy, showing the ability to put the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. Cam also scored one rushing touchdown this past season. O’Hara currently holds offers from Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, Western Kentucky, Miami (OH), Austin Peay, and Tennessee State, and I expect more to come his way as he is a true Power 4 caliber quarterback prospect.
Jaxon Strautman Jaxon Strautman 6’1″ | 195 lbs | QB Frederick Douglass | 2026 State KY is another quarterback in this class that continued to stand o it this past season. Strautman had a strong junior year, completing 116/211 passes for 1,505 yards, 18 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in 12 games. Jaxon throws an impressive deep ball, showing the arm strength to lead his receivers down the field. He also puts a nice amount of touch on his passes, placing the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. Strautman has also shown the ability to make plays with his legs when needed, finishing this past season with 43 carries for 206 yards and three touchdowns. Jaxon doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way soon as he has received some college interest and has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.
Highlights
Colin Daniels Colin Daniels 6’2″ | 180 lbs | QB Christian Academy of Louisville | 2026 State KY has spent the past couple seasons as the backup to Cole Hodge Cole Hodge 6’2″ | QB Christian Academy Of Louisville | 2024 State KY but he has impressed when on the field. This past season, Daniels completed 16/31 passes for 278 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception in seven games. Daniels is very impressive under pressure, showing the ability to escape the pocket while keeping his eyes down the field to make tough throws on the run. He also has a very strong arm which he uses to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Daniels doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect him to attract a lot of attention coming into his junior year as he takes over the reigns as the starting quarterback.
Highlights
Mario Litmer Mario Litmer 6’0″ | 175 lbs | QB Highlands | 2026 State KY split time at quarterback for Highlands this past season and was very impressive when on the field. Litmer completed 77/106 passes for 1,110 yards, 20 touchdowns, and only two interceptions in 13 games. Mario has shown impressive accuracy, showing the ability to fit passes into tight windows where only his intended receiver can catch it. He also throws an impressive deep ball, showing the ability to lead his receivers down the field and hit them in stride. Litmer also finished his sophomore year with 13 carries for 119 yards and two touchdowns. Mario doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way soon as he has received some college interest and will take over as the full-time starter this season.
To wrap up our top five quarterbacks in the class of 2026 in the state of Kentucky, I have Ridge Holman Ridge Holman 6’3″ | 200 lbs | QB Logan County | 2026 State KY . Ridge had a strong sophomore season for Logan County, completing 215/359 passes for 2,405 yards, 24 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in 12 games. Holman has very impressive arm strength which he uses to hit his receivers in stride in the deep passing game. He also has shown very good ball placement, showing the ability to lead his receivers away from defensive backs and put the ball in a spot where only they have a chance to catch it. Holman doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a quarterback that college coaches should definitely keep a close eye on over the next couple seasons.
