He is a very accurate passer, showing the ability to put enough zip on his passes to fit them into tight windows where only his intended receiver can catch it. Griffin also throws an impressive deep ball, using his strong arm to lead his receivers down the field with ease. Mason has also carried the ball 18 times for 48 yards so far this season. Griffin currently holds an offer from Pikeville and I expect more to come his way as he definitely has the talent to play quarterback at the next level.

is a quarterback who has been on my radar for a while now and is coming off a strong junior year in which he completed 196/304 passes for 2,199 yards, 18 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in 10 games. Griffin throws an impressive deep ball, using his arm strength to stretch the field while also showing the ability to place the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. He also has a great feel for pressure, showing the ability to escape the pocket when needed while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Mason also finished his junior year with two rushing touchdowns. Griffin has received a good amount of college interest and I wouldn’t be surprised to see some offers start coming in this summer.

Griffin has a great frame. He has a cannon of an arm and can get vertical. He was a top competitor throughout the day and was someone who was on it from the start all the way to the finish.

is a 2026 quarterback for South Laurel High School in London, Kentucky. Standing at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 220 pounds, Griffin has been a pivotal player for the Cardinals. Throughout the 2024 season Griffin demonstrated his ability to throw the football throwing for 2,199 yards placing him 3rd in the state. While primarily recognized for his passing, Griffin’s athleticism allows him to navigate the pocket effectively and extend plays when needed. In his Junior film, he shows that skill but I love that he keeps his eyes down field looking for an open receiver. Coaches need to keep an eye on Mason this upcoming offseason.

came down from Kentucky with his Next Up squad and he impressed us in one of the pool play games on Saturday evening, earning him “Top Performer” honors. Griffin is a good looking quarterback from Kentucky that was firing some absolute strikes on Saturday. In that pool play game, Griffin made some big throws in the win over YOG Florida. Whether it was pushing the ball down the field to his playmakers or finding the open man and delivering a dart, Griffin could do a little bit of everything. He has a very quick release and is a quarterback in Kentucky’s 2026 class to keep an eye on this spring and summer.
