Continue ReadingThis past Saturday, the Legacy Football Organization put on one of the biggest camps of the offseason. With over 300 prospects in attendance, the Midwest showcase did not disappoint. Personally, it was one of the most valuable and productive camps I’ve had because of the sheer amount of quality prospects in attendance. This article will cover every athlete I have significant notes on!
’26 QB | Brady Thomas Brady Thomas 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Brother Rice | 2026 State MI | Brother Rice | Hudl
When I saw Brady’s name on the attendance list, I immediately circled his name. He’s a Quarterback I’ve been wanting to take a look at, and let me just say he outperformed his tape. Mechanically, Brady is rock-solid. He has a consistent dropback with a fluid throwing motion. Brady consistently got the ball out quickly, and he made a few phenomenal throws in tight windows. Specifically, he threw a few very well-placed fades with the DB playing great coverage. He was able to throw it down the field with touch and anticipation and threw some bullets on slants/outs. Brady performed exceptionally well in a stacked QB room and significantly rose his stock after earning runner-up MVP. I am looking forward to seeing what he’s able to do for Brother Rice over the next two seasons with a new offensive scheme.
’27 QB | James Torian III | DET Country Day | Hudl
James Torian rose his stock at the perfect time, as the 2027 Rankings are mere days away from releasing. I evaluated James’s film last week in preparation for the rankings, and I thought that James was a very raw prospect needing work on his mechanics, accuracy, and reading of a defense. On Saturday, James outperformed his tape by a mile. I still think that his mechanics need some work. His dropbacks and throwing mechanics were a bit wonky and inconsistent, but that’s normal for a freshman quarterback. I was very impressed with some of the throws he was making. He was throwing with confidence and threw a pretty spiral + deep ball. He wasn’t uber-consistent but overall outperformed my expectations. It’s notable that his athleticism shows up on film, so I could see James developing into a lethal dual threat in the coming years.
’26 QB | Kayd Coffman Kayd Coffman 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB East Kentwood Highschool | 2026 MI | GR South Christian | Hudl
I only got to watch a few throws from Kayd, but they were all on point. His mechanics looked good, and multiple coaches pointed him out to me as someone to watch. He received runner-up at last month’s Legacy QB1 competition, and now I can see why. South Christian is on a run with several good QBs back to back, and I think Kayd is on the path to being South Chrisitan’s best passer in my memory.
’26 QB | Brady Collins Brady Collins 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB Clarkston | 2026 State MI | Clarkston | Hudl
Collins was another major standout. He’s a quarterback that I admittedly didn’t know much about until Saturday. He has fluid throwing mechanics and throws with confidence. On the few throws I noted of his, he was able to sling it deep down the middle of the field with touch and power. I know he won the QB1 competition last month, and he 100% looks like a Varsity-ready Quarterback. The OAA Red is one of the toughest leagues in Michigan, and I’m excited to see what he’s able to do against those elite defenses next fall.
’27 QB | Bryce Backus Bryce Backus 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB Caledonia | 2027 State MI | Caledonia | Hudl
I’ve heard a lot of great thinks about Bryce in the past few months. First off, his potential is through the roof. He’s a tall 6’3″ with some good mobility and throw on the run. His tape shows that he’s able to make plays in structure of his offense and he fits the Caledonia offense perfectly. Though, he did not have the best day from what I saw. I watched a good handful of throws, and his timing looked off and his accuracy could have been better. It looked like he was throwing out of rhythm, and he was missing his targets high and low. I know he’s a QB who will be very active every offseason, and he already has plenty of offseason competition experience. I don’t doubt that he’ll grow into a great Quarterback, but for now, I think he has some room to grow.
’26 QB | Nate Rocheleau Nate Rocheleau 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Harper Woods | 2026 State MI | Harper Woods | Hudl
Another camp, another MVP earned by Nate. The first thing you’ll notice from Nate are his mechanics. Everything from his footwork to dropback and throwing motion are fluid and consistent. Probably the best mechanics of any 2026 QB I’ve seen in person. His throwing was on point as well. He proved that he’s able to make any throw to any part of the field with an advanced level of accuracy. Not only is he able to hit his guy in the chest, but against good coverage, he’s able to throw higher/lower to give his guy a better chance. The more I watch Nate, the more I understand his hype and offers.
’25 RB | Alex Guadagni | Canton | Hudl
I admittedly didn’t watch much of the LBs/RBs but I did watch a few of Alex’s reps in passing. He was the same player I’ve seen time after time. He’s explosive and incredibly lethal in the open field. Fast feet, athletic, and can make anyone miss 1on1. Alex is one of those players that could explode onto the scene this offseason / next season and I hope he does!
’28 RB | Fogo Filani | Gridiron Academy (CAN) | Hudl
Fogo is one of those guys that aces the eye test. And to find out he’s in the class of 2028? Wow. He’s an incredibly muscular and dense running back who already looks like an upperclassman who’s had years in the weight room. Once he stepped on the field for drills, I admit his athleticism was a bit underwhelming. He needs to work on speed, change of direction, and making moves in the open field. 1-on-1 against linebackers, he looked like he was trying to do too much. Sometimes, a simple 1-move juke is the best and quickest move. I’m very interested in seeing his development in the coming years wether that’s in the US or Canada!
’26 WR | Braylon Burnside Braylon Burnside 5'8" | 160 lbs | ATH Utica Eisenhower | 2026 State MI | IKE | Hudl
Braylon was a rock-solid receiver. I was interested in seeing how he stacked up against these DBs after I watched him ball out at the Prep Redzone 7on7 tournament in Nashville last year. Overall, I saw the same Braylon I saw in Nashville. That is, great route running with an explosive release and very good hands. Every route I saw him run was crisp and very fundamental. You can tell that he cares about the details on some of the routes he runs. I am very high on Braylon, and I expect him to have a phenomenal Junior season next fall.
’25 WR | Jaielen Peacock Jaielen Peacock 6'3" | 175 lbs | DB Troy | 2025 State MI | Troy | Hudl
The winner of the WR MVP award, Peacock had a great day. At 6’3″, Jaielen has the measurements to be a lethal deep threat with a great catch radius. I only watched a few of his reps, but in the ones that I watched, I noted great body control and great hands. I expect him to be one of the best players in the entire OAA next season.
’25 WR | Jaiden Allos Jaiden Allos 6'2" | 195 lbs | ATH West Bloomfield | 2025 State MI | West Bloomfield | Hudl
Allos was tough to miss. He’s a long 6’2″ 193lbs with the best body control and catch radius I saw all weekend. His route running is also great. I can’t tell you how many times Jaiden made a phenomenal catch on a deep streak/fade/post (etc) that he ran. He consistently went against the best DBs, and even the ones that stuck on him, he was able to earn a catch with amazing hands, body control, catch radius, and vertical ball tracking. He also displayed great change of direction and he was able to stop and turn on a dime on comeback routes. This is a receiver who obviously cares about the little details, and I came away very impressed with his performance.
’25 WR | Malek Farha Malek Farha 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Ann Arbor Pioneer | 2025 State MI | AA Pioneer | Hudl
I was excited to finally see Malek in person as I absolutely love his film. He did well but didn’t blow me away. Mainly, I think he could be a bit more twitchy/explosive and have more attention to detail with his routes. There is a lot to like about his game, though. Regardless of the route he was running, the ball tracking was awesome. In addition, he has a great catch radius considering his size. He’s able to go up and get balls that are thrown high and he’s quick to stay on his feet and turn upfield even after difficult catches. Lastly, he had a great 3-step jab on some of his releases. I still think that Malek has a very high ceiling. If he’s able to improve his explosiveness and really fine-tune his routes, he’ll be a great prospect. If you have never watched Malek’s film, please do.
’25 SLWR | Braden Rabideau Braden Rabideau 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Lansing Catholic | 2025 State MI | Lansing Catholic | Hudl
Braden was the surprise of the day. He was the best receiver that I watched closely, and was open on every rep I remember watching. His biggest standout trait is his explosive release and great route-running. He has an explosive first step and a long stride. He’s also extremely skilled at head fakes and he’s quick to change direction after those fakes. He made multiple DBs look silly with well-timed fakes and elite change of direction. He may not get the recognition he deserves because he goes to a smaller school, but I promise that he’s someone to watch moving forward. He’ll be a steal for whatever college picks him up. From his performance on Saturday, I’d recommend him to any GLIAC team.
’26 T | Khalief Canty Khalief Canty 6'5" | 305 lbs | OL Cass Tech | 2026 State MI Jr. | Cass Tech | Hudl
I didn’t watch the OL/DL much, but Canty is just impossible to miss. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him lose a rep. In his 8 or so best on best reps at the end of camp, nobody got remotely close to winning against Canty. As a matter of fact, there were several reps where his opponent didn’t even make it past the line of scrimmage. Canty is the gold standard of offensive lineman and it’s obvious why so many Power 5 programs are fighting for his recruitment.
’25 IOL | Marcus Goode Marcus Goode 6'0" | 265 lbs | OL Redford Union | 2025 State MI | Redford Union | Hudl
Goode was a pleasant surprise in the offensive line group. His height and weight weren’t listed on the roster, but he is on the shorter side for an OL recruit, but he’s a rock-solid pass blocker. Feet are consistent. His hands are sticky and he has good recovery. Against the bull-rush, he’s able to anchor down and stop a defender in his tracks. Pretty good stuff from Marcus!
’24 DE | Thomas Emmett Young Daley | Norman Johnston (CAN) | Hudl
Another Canadian prospect, Young Daley earned DL MVP honors. Thomas sports an explosive first step and a plethora of great speed moves. He has active hands and a good rip and club move. He also has a good spin move that works great after a few speed rushes at the opposing lineman’s outside shoulder.
’25 DB | Darryle Geter | East Lansing | Hudl
Geter had himself a solid day. He caught my eye early on after a few great reps, and he continued to prove that he has excellent upside. There were several reps where he was able to do stride-for-stride with some of the best receivers. I noted a great rep against Malek Farha Malek Farha 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Ann Arbor Pioneer | 2025 State MI where he was able to knock the ball right out of his hands on a go route that was thrown perfectly. Where he had high highs, he also had a few bad reps with him guessing wrong on some routes and getting caught with some fakes.
’26 DB | Victor Singleton | Toledo Central Catholic | Hudl
Victor won the DB MVP award. It was apparent that Victor is an extremely fundamentally sound defensive back. His feet are fast and fluid he rarely gets fooled with fakes, and most importantly his man coverage was incredibly sticky and he was able to make plays on the ball more consistently than any other DB at camp.
’26 DB | James Rush James Rush 5'10" | 165 lbs | ATH Saline | 2026 State MI | Saline | Hudl
James was someone I had circled pre-camp. He’s coming off an amazing season as a running back, but he got his reps in as a DB last Saturday. I watched James in a lot of the pre-competition drills and he had great burst and change of direction- its apparent that James is way ahead of the curve athletically. As a DB, he played well. I didn’t watch a ton of his DB reps, but he had some ups and downs like most DBs at the camp did.
’25 LB | Dalton Drogosh Dalton Drogosh 6'1" | 195 lbs | DB De La Salle | 2025 State MI | De La Salle | Hudl
I’ll be honest- I thought the linebacker group was pretty light, but it had two great standouts. The one that caught my eye a ton was Dalton. I know that Dalton is more of a hybrid S/LB type of player, and that athleticism needed to play safety at a high level really showed up at camp. He was the most athletic linebacker I watched, and he really excels when put in an open-field tackle situation. His height may be a problem if he wants to play high-level college football, but putting him in a hybrid S/LB role would work extremely well in my opinion. If he keeps working on his athleticism and IQ he could be a super high-upside defensive player deserving of maybe playing D1 football. Right now, he has the upside for me to recommend him to the GLAIC.
