There’s a good chance that by the end of the year,
Nate Rocheleau
Nate
Rocheleau

Harper Woods | 2026

could see a big rankings boost. His ability to spread it around the yard is far beyond a lot of others. He doesn’t favor certain routes-anything is in play with Nate slinging it.
He’s another QB with a solid supporting cast and very good coaching, making him extremely dangerous. He has received some attention on the recruiting trail, but with a big 2025 campaign, even more opportunities will come his way.

I know Nate has a lot of hype on the recruiting trail, but I think 2025 is his season to shine. On tape you can see a kid with great arm talent and the ability that will translate nicely to the next level. I liked what I saw in terms of throw power, accuracy and his overall mechanics. He has a great throwing motion and his timing on his release is impeccable. I think there are a ton of QBs that struggle with hitting all parts of the field and can favor some routes more than others, but I don’t get that sense with Nate at all. As far as I can tell, Nate can hit any route at any part of the field and with his weapons and coaching behind him, there’s a lot of hope that Rocheleau could raise his stock to all new heights.

Yes, I have a D2 grade on Nate. Yes, that also means that he’ll drop in the rankings a bit.
Arm Talent: B
Accuracy: B-
Processing: C-
Playmaking: C+
Athleticism: C+
Mechanics: B+
Really good mechanics, and good arm talent. That’s always been the case. Nate can make any throw with good accuracy, it’s just that I don’t think he has the processing ability needed to elevate his team.
I watched a couple of games on tape, and there were some very head-scratching plays. He forces the ball a lot and makes so many ill-advised throws. Especially with the weapons he has, the passing offense should have been much better.
Again, Nate has some legitimate great traits. He just needs to be more productive in-season for me to think of him as a D1 prospect.

Nate is a budding star at the QB position with a chance to notch a 2nd straight state title. Rocheleau has the arm talent and pure pocket presence to match any defense. I love his ability to get the ball out quickly and consistently to his playmakers. He makes a variety of throws of all different levels of difficulty with the same accuracy. He will have to play at his peak against this Goodrich team to make it to Ford Field next weekend, but I think Nate is bound to ball out as he has continued to do recently.

Nate rolls into this update as my #3 quarterback.
Nate is and always has been an extremely talented quarterback. Generally, he’s a step above others when it comes to fundamentals, arm talent, IQ, and accuracy. His tape quite good, and it features a good variety of throws. I also know that Nate has strung together a number of extremely strong offseason performances.
I also need to watch much, much more of Nate. When I watched him last season during the state championship, I was very impressed with several throws, but I was also left feeling like he didn’t play his best game. He’s shown a few more bumps in the road than my #1 and #2 guys, but Nate is still a low D1 prospect in my book.

Rocheleau, who was the star of an Essex County JV team in Ontario, has played his high school ball at Harper Woods in Michigan and holds offers from Bowling Green, Eastern Kentucky, and Miami (OH) – Rocheleau threw for 2,700 yards and 25 touchdowns on a nearly 75% completion percentage as a sophomore and has had a strong start to his junior year with his tape showing a player that shows good escapability and really nice touch and accuracy on his throws down the field.

I don’t know why I hadn’t heard of Nate until I watched him at the State Championship, but I’m sort of glad I got to view him without any bias. I was a tad hard on Nate for his State Championship performance, and although I stand by what I said (I still don’t think that was his BEST game), I’ve seen him enough since then to get a great idea of what he’s capable of. In a more controlled camp setting, I was able to view his fundamentals, the way he reads the field, and his accuracy in the pocket a lot better. First off, Nate’s fundamentals are as consistent as I’ve ever seen. Everything from his feet to his throwing motion is extremely consistent. He can also read a defense better than most. He’s also very accurate for a High School QB- sure he can miss some throws from time to time but his throw power + placement is usually top notch. All of this and more is why Nate earns a very significant bump from #61 all the way up to #21.

Nate handled himself with the poise and confidence you’d expect out of a 3rd year starting senior in the state title game. He ran the offense well, got the ball out quickly to playmakers and didn’t make big mistakes. His arm and physical tools have a good baseline, and I think they’ll continue to grow as iron sharpens iron and Harper Woods plays some of the best teams in the state regularly. Watch for Nate to really impress a lot of people this season and shoot up boards.
