<p>Week seven has come and gone and there were plenty of standout performers in the second week of the WV high school football season. Here are 12 athletes that stood out during week seven of the season.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='487103' first='Noah' last='Vellaithambi'] - Hurricane '25 ATH</strong></p>

<p>Junior athlete [player_tooltip player_id='487103' first='Noah' last='Vellaithambi'] continues to impress at his new position this season in the Hurricane offense and had another monster game in their 56-42 triumph over Princeton. Vellaithambi has been a force at running back since making the switch from quarterback for this season and has really come on after the first couple of games of the season. He carried the ball a whopping 41 times against Princeton and ran for 285 yards and four touchdowns giving the Tigers their first loss of the season.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1014121' first='Noah' last='Casto'] - Ripley '25 RB/LB</strong></p>

<p>The Ripley Vikings have struggled this season but finally got their first win against St. Albans 41-14 behind the play of standout RB/LB [player_tooltip player_id='1014121' first='Noah' last='Casto']. The sophomore had a huge night carrying the ball and totaled 214 yards and three touchdowns against the Dragons. Ripley lined Casto up in the I-formation all game and ran right at the St. Albans defense and his hard running proved to be too much for them.</p>

<p>Riverside senior [player_tooltip player_id='893390' first='Bryce' last='Green'] makes his debut in our weekly standouts after a big night on the ground in a close 27-23 loss to Capital. Green carried the load for the Warriors to the tune of 247 rushing yards and two touchdowns for Riverside. He averaged 10.7 yards per carry on 23 carries in the game and has been one of Riverside's biggest bright spots this season during a tough year.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='865709' first='Max' last='Anderson'] - Spring Mills '25 ATH</strong></p>

<p>Spring Mills junior [player_tooltip player_id='865709' first='Max' last='Anderson'] continues to have great performance after great performance this season for the Cardinals and the best start to a season in school history. Spring Mills needed all of Anderson's talent in a narrow 26-23 win over Class AA Frankfort. He had a huge night on the ground with 183 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries. Anderson added a fourth touchdown through the air on 5 of 8 passing for 93 yards. Anderson added 8 tackles, 2 TFLs, and a PBU on defense as well. He has the Spring Mills Cardinals at 6-1 and they've rattled off 6 straight wins after a close opening loss to Jefferson. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='370322' first='Sirod' last='Musgrove'] - Martinsburg '24 WR/DB</strong></p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='370322' first='Sirod' last='Musgrove']'s services weren't needed for long as Martinsburg trounced Washington 68-0 but the 5'11 160 senior receiver made quick work of the Patriots' defense. Musgrove totaled 142 receiving yards and a touchdown in the game while having big plays at all three levels of the passing tree. He took a screen pass over 50 yards down the field to the Washington 40-yard line from his own 9 and his quarterback hit him in stride on a long post route for a touchdown. Musgrove is ranked as the #1 defensive back in the 2024 class right now, but he could play receiver at the next level too.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='907809' first='Malachi' last='Lewis'] - Oak Hill '24 ATH</strong></p>

<p>Oak Hill senior athlete [player_tooltip player_id='907809' first='Malachi' last='Lewis'] had an impressive performance on both sides of the ball in their win over Greenbrier East. Lewis is a good athlete playing quarterback for the Red Devils and threw for 247 yards and a touchdown to fellow classmate [player_tooltip player_id='907810' first='Elijah' last='Gray'] while also running in a touchdown. Lewis also made an impact on defense intercepting a pass as the Red Devils held the Spartans to just six points.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='907810' first='Elijah' last='Gray'] - Oak Hill '24 WR</strong></p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='907810' first='Elijah' last='Gray'] had a big night for the Oak Hill Red Devils in their 40-6 win over Greenbrier East. The junior receiver caught just five catches but they went for 204 yards and a touchdown. Gray had a 66-yard touchdown catch and another long catch for 75 yards in the game. He even added an interception on defense to round out an impressive performance for week seven.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='866482' first='Zach' last='Rohrig'] - Bridgeport '24 RB</strong></p>

<p>Bridgeport senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='866482' first='Zach' last='Rohrig'] continues to pile up big rushing performances for the Indians in their single-wing offense as they had a dominating 48-13 win over a very solid Parkersburg South team. Rohrig carried the ball 26 times for 167 yards and three touchdowns while averaging 6.4 yards per carry. That performance pushed him over the 1,000-yard mark for the season in seven games and Rohrig now has 14 rushing touchdowns on the year.</p>

<p>Princeton senior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='880797' first='Dominick' last='Collins'] has been the most impressive receiver thus far in West Virginia and continues to put up eye-popping numbers week in and week out. Collins had his way against the Hurricane defense and scored four receiving touchdowns in the game. Collins scored on catches of 6, 39, 70, and 23 yards with three of them coming in the first half. </p>

<p>Princeton sophomore gunslinger [player_tooltip player_id='1011963' first='Chance' last='Barker'] has continued to light up opposing teams' secondaries this season and did so again against a very talented Hurricane squad. Barker lit up the scoreboard with five touchdown tosses in the game including four to stud senior wideout [player_tooltip player_id='880797' first='Dominick' last='Collins']. Barker finished the night with just over 300 yards passing as the Princeton Tigers fell to the Hurricane Redskins 56-42 in a high-scoring affair.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1126343' first='Drew' last='Banks'] - Lincoln County '25 WR/RB</strong></p>

<p>Lincoln County junior [player_tooltip player_id='1126343' first='Drew' last='Banks'] makes his debut in our Class AAA weekly standouts for his play on the ground and through the air as the Cougars fell to Class AA Clay County 60-38. Banks did most of his damage running the ball as he carried the rock 17 times for 137 yards and a touchdown. He would add a second touchdown through the air and caught 3 passes for 54 yards in total. Banks finished with 191 all-purpose yards in the contest and a complete performance for Lincoln County.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='894636' first='Camdyn' last='Harris'] - Capital '26 RB/LB</strong></p>

<p>Promising sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='894636' first='Camdyn' last='Harris'] has been very productive for the Capital Cougars this season and had a very nice night rushing the ball in their 27-23 win over Riverside. Harris started the second half off with a bang as he rumbled 65 yards down the sideline for a touchdown to tie the game up on the first play of the half. Harris would score his second touchdown of the night late in the third quarter to give the Cougars a 20-14 lead and control of the game. He finished the night with 160 rushing yards on 17 carries and scored twice as Capital got their second win of the season.</p>
