These past 10 weeks, we have seen plenty of incredible performances played out by many different recruits. While some may get highlighted more frequently, some may not get the proper recognition they deserve. Especially when it comes to playoff time, which will show these recruits playing against the best of the best in their respective division. Today, I will be listing some top offensive performers, from the last week of play, to watch for this upcoming postseason. I will be doing the same for defensive top performers in a separate post.
Xavion Ware Xavion Ware 5’9″ | 145 lbs | RB Western | 2025 KY had a terrific week running the Football. This past Friday against Valley High School. In only 10 total carries, Ware recorded 175 rushing yards and 3 total touchdowns in a win over Valley High School. Ware’s ability to create running lanes by slicing through the defense makes him a dangerous weapon on the offensive side. In other words, when on the run, Ware can make sharp cuts across the other side of the field while maintaining top speed to create separation from the opposing tackles. Although many running backs try to do this, most cannot without losing their top speed and acceleration while Xavion can. Keep on the lookout for Ware when Western takes the field this postseason.
Last week, Gray Schmittel Gray Schmittel 5’11” | 160 lbs | WR North Oldham | 2025 State KY put up big numbers at the receiver position for North Oldham High School. Playing against Western Hills High School, Gray recorded 10 receptions for 136 receiving yards and 2 receiving touchdowns. Gray specializes in his ability to create lots of separation to make a catch and even more separation after the catch. Whether it is a designed route for Gray, or just needing to improvise, he can always create just enough space for him to make a catch. His best methods for creating this separation include his speed off the ball, abrupt lateral jab movements, and impressive field vision. Gray will be one of the top receiver prospects to keep an eye out for when it is time for North Oldham to play in postseason ball.

Although highlighting him in a recent post, Kolter put up another highly dominant performance for the Louisville Male Bulldogs. Playing against Fern Creek High School, Kolter completed 13/15 of his passes for 262 passing yards and 7 passing touchdowns! As I mentioned before, Kolter is an extremely dynamic quarterback prospect who can make big-time plays in a variety of different methods. No matter how or what Kolter does, he seems to always get the job done for his offense. One major trait that is highly valuable for most college and pro-offensive players is reliability. Not only is Kolter reliable, but he is one of the BEST at being reliable to get the job done for his team. Stay tuned to see him and the Bulldogs play in the postseason.

Kasen Brock Kasen Brock 5’11” | 195 lbs | RB Pulaski County | 2027 State KY had an insanely good performance running the Football this past Friday for Pulaski County High School. He took 16 carries for 246 rushing yards along with 2 receptions for 25 receiving yards against Harlan County High School. The two greatest traits that Kasen has running the football are his field vision to find open running gaps in the defense, and his ability to break off multiple tackles after initial contact. Once the ball has been snapped, Kasen can read the defense quickly enough to find an opening to run toward. Brock can pick up lots of extra yards after contact using his lower body strength to keep him off his feet and break tackles. This is a valuable trait to have for a running back wanting to play at the next level as most defenders at the collegiate level will not fail at tackling an opponent down. I would keep an eye out for Brock during the postseason.

Last Friday, Clay Hayden Clay Hayden 6’1″ | 180 lbs | QB Beechwood | 2025 State KY had a spectacular performance for his Beechwood High School squad. Playing against Carroll County, Hayden completed 12/13 (92%) of his passes for 328 passing yards and 5 passing touchdowns. Clay can do it all. He can make terrific deep throws in the pocket despite pressure, can throw accurately on the run, and can use his legs to gain yardage if he can’t create a passing option. A lot of this is due to Hayden’s overall field vision and game IQ that enable him to make these decisions that bring lots of success for his offense. I believe Hayden will keep this same momentum throughout their postseason run and it will be difficult for most defenses to try and halt their offensive drives.
