Gray Schmittel Gray Schmittel 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR North Oldham | 2025 State KY is a wide receiver who has been on my radar for a while now and has continued to impress this season. He finished the regular season with 61 receptions for 764 yards and 13 touchdowns in 10 games. Schmittel has explosive speed which he uses to blow by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. He is also a skilled route runner, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation. Gray has also thrown one passing touchdown and has made an impact on defense this season, accounting for 11 tackles, one tackle for loss, and four interceptions. Schmittel currently holds an offer from DePauw and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play at the next level.

I am additionally impressed with Gray Schmittel Gray Schmittel 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR North Oldham | 2025 State KY , a wide receiver at North Oldham High School. Schmittel made a huge difference offensively this past week, proving his shiftiness and catching ability down the stretch. I also liked how Schmittel maneuvered the field with ease after the catch, showing off his ability to dodge and weave defenders on his way into enemy territory.

Schmittel played a key role in North Oldham’s win over Tates Creek, catching nine passes for 120 yards and a new school record four touchdowns. Gray is a reliable deep threat, showing the speed to blow by opposing defensive backs to create separation. He is also dangerous after the catch, using his speed and elusiveness to turn short passes into big gains. Schmittel doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a player who college coaches should definitely be paying close attention to.

I also like Schmittel’s ability to pick up speed to quickly jump in front of the ball under pressure, showcasing his ability to push the offense into enemy territory off the short pass.

Last week, Gray Schmittel Gray Schmittel 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR North Oldham | 2025 State KY put up big numbers at the receiver position for North Oldham High School. Playing against Western Hills High School, Gray recorded 10 receptions for 136 receiving yards and 2 receiving touchdowns. Gray specializes in his ability to create lots of separation to make a catch and even more separation after the catch. Whether it is a designed route for Gray, or just needing to improvise, he can always create just enough space for him to make a catch. His best methods for creating this separation include his speed off the ball, abrupt lateral jab movements, and impressive field vision. Gray will be one of the top receiver prospects to keep an eye out for when it is time for North Oldham to play in postseason ball.
