Expert Analysis
Sam Erman | Prep Redzone Scout
Simpson is a strong edge rusher whose time in the weight room pays off on the field. He’s a smart player with good instincts near the LOS who does a good job getting into the backfield and disrupting plays. He’s coming off a 3-sack game where he dominated the offensive line, consistently blew up running plays, made the QB antsy, and took advantage of the opportunities in front of him. I like the strength he brings off the edge and the way he’s able to make life difficult for opposing offenses.
