He had a strong junior year in which he completed 210/288 passes for 3,910 yards, 48 touchdowns, and seven interceptions in 14 games. Hayden has a very strong arm which he uses to lead his receivers down the field and hit them in stride in the deep passing game. He has also shown the ability to move around in the pocket to avoid pressure while keeping his eyes down the field to find the open receiver. Hayden also scored one rushing touchdown this past seasons. I expect that first offer to come soon for Hayden as he has received a nice amount of college interest.

Another quarterback that has had a strong 2023 season so far is Clay Hayden Clay Hayden 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Beechwood | 2025 State KY from Beechwood. Through 10 games, Hayden has completed 154/209 passes for 2,898 yards,  36 touchdowns, and only four interceptions. He has shown that he has the arm talent to stretch the field in and hit his receivers in stride in the deep passing game. Hayden has also shown a great feel for pressure, showing the ability to maneuver in the pocket and escape when needed while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Clay has also scored one rushing touchdown this season. Hayden doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way soon as he has received some college interest and has the talent to play at the next level.

Last Friday, Clay Hayden Clay Hayden 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Beechwood | 2025 State KY had a spectacular performance for his Beechwood High School squad. Playing against Carroll County, Hayden completed 12/13 (92%) of his passes for 328 passing yards and 5 passing touchdowns. Clay can do it all. He can make terrific deep throws in the pocket despite pressure, can throw accurately on the run, and can use his legs to gain yardage if he can’t create a passing option. A lot of this is due to Hayden’s overall field vision and game IQ that enable him to make these decisions that bring lots of success for his offense. I believe Hayden will keep this same momentum throughout their postseason run and it will be difficult for most defenses to try and halt their offensive drives.

Hayden led Beechwood to an impressive victory over  Simon Kenton, completing 24/34 passes for 433 yards and five touchdowns. Clay looked very good throwing the deep ball, showing the ability to lead his receivers down the field and hit them in stride. He also showed the ability to scramble outside the pocket while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Hayden also showed the ability to make plays on the ground when needed, scoring one rushing touchdown. Hayden led Beechwood to an overtime win over Dixie Heights, completing 23/36 passes for 479 yards, seven touchdowns, and one interception. Clay was able to show off his arm strength, showing the ability to stretch the field and lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. He also showed the ability to escape the pocket when under pressure while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Another quarterback that stood out to me this past week was Beechwood’s Clay Hayden Clay Hayden 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Beechwood | 2025 State KY . Hayden led the Tigers to a blowout victory over Campbell County, completing 20/25 passes for 285 yards and four touchdowns. Clay showed impressive accuracy on Friday, showing the ability to zip passes into small windows and put the ball where only his receiver had a chance to catch it. He also showed the ability to make plays under pressure, using his speed to escape the pocket while also keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. While Clay doesn’t currently hold any offer, I expect some to come his way soon as he has received some college interest and definitely has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.
