Queen can stuff gaps and cut off running lanes both inside and outside. He has demonstrated a strong sense of play recognition and consistently puts himself in a position to make a play on the ball. Queen is a disciplined player who doesn’t stray from his assignment. He angles himself well in pursuit of the football and has proved he’s reliable when making tackles in the open field. What impressed me the most about his abilities is his patience. Queen doesn’t overcommit on fakes, hesitation, or in play-action/option situations, which proves his maturity and overall football IQ.

Queen has good prototypical size and moves well at the second level. He shows good range and can work sideline to sideline while staying under control. He’s comfortable dropping into coverage and also coming downhill to play the run. His instincts stand out, helping him diagnose plays and get into position quickly. The physical tools and feel for the game are there, and he looks like someone who could be set for a breakout season.
