Senior Tight Ends
Barham bursted out onto the scene last year as a junior, putting up big numbers but so far through his senior season, he looks even better and though his numbers aren’t as large right now, you can see on film where this West TN pass catcher has improved. The Eagles tight end is like a man among boys each and every Friday night as Barham is an imposing receiver that plays detached from the line mainly in his Chester Co. offense but has the physical build and upside to become a solid in-line blocker. This is an athletic guy that can play in open space and is tough to bring down due to his power and strength. He has good speed too, though he does need to increase that trait further. Barham is a natural pass catcher that has tremendous upside on the next level as I feel his best football days are ahead of him on the collegiate gridiron. Current Stats (7 GMS): 31 rec. for 397 yds & 9 TD’sNew Senior Clips

Having to miss his junior season due to injury, Dabbs was ready to get back on the field this Fall to prove his worth and so far, the Saints 6’6 tight end is doing just that. Committing recently to SE Missouri St., Dabbs has taken advantage of every snap so far this season by displaying his athleticism both with his pass catching and definitely with his enhanced blocking. This Memphis area senior has taken a major leap with his run blocking, showing physicality and bend along with the ability to drive his man down field. What’s exciting about Dabbs is that I see major pass catching upside with him to go along with his blocking. He has the athleticism, size and speed to become a mismatch problem for smaller defenders on the next level, so if he can continue to add more weight and develop his game further, the Red Hawks might have gotten themselves a steal at tight end. Tall and long with a great frame for added weight, McClain has taken another step with his progression this season by putting on more size as well as adding a little more speed to his repertoire. You can see on his early season senior clips that McClain looks more explosive when coming out of his stance. He gets into his routes much quicker while also showing quicker feet when breaking into those routes as well. The Gryphons senior prospect has worked on his pass blocking as it shows on film, giving me the idea that McClain could develop into a multi versed tight end on the next level with continued growth and work on the field. McClain may end up signing to a small school but he has the physical traits and upside to develop into a very good tight end prospect somewhere down the road. New Senior Clips

A multi year starter for a Hardin Co. offense that consistently puts up points, Weaks is having a strong senior year thus far as one of the Tigers top go to targets and a tight end that is boosting his stock towards becoming a possible college player. Standing 6’3 215 pounds, Weaks is a bit undersized for your true in-line blocking tight end but he can block and continue to develop this side of his game going forward. What Weaks brings to the table right now is a natural pass catcher that can line up in a variety of spots and provide his quarterback a safety option to be relied upon. The Tigers senior tight end works well in the intermediate part of the game while also having good enough speed to break into the open field. More work must be done by Weaks to become the best player he can be but he has definitely taken another step this year as a senior to put himself on the map to be recruited into the college game. Current Stats: 27 rec. for 534 yds & 5 TD’s

Jones received significant snaps last year as a junior but was mainly used as a blocker but this season as a senior, the Golden Bears tight end has taken a step up in his progression and is becoming a more well rounded prospect that shows flashes of pass catching upside. Sporting good height, length and a body frame that can take on more size, Jones has the physical potential to become a key piece in the tight end room on the next level with continued development. He moves well off the line then runs with good speed into open space. The Golden Bears senior also shows bend with his blocking and the ability to get his man into the second level. Jones is an interesting prospect that has the physical traits and mobile skills to develop into a bonafide college tight end with more time in the weight room and continued work on the playing field. Clayton is an under the radar tight end prospect that shows on his mid-season senior clips the ability to become a solid blocking tight end on the college level with the upside to develop further his pass catching as he matures. Making the full transition over to tight end starting last year and even more so this season, Clayton is starting to come into his own as a strong run blocker that can push his man to the second level while having the body to pack on more weight, which in turn could make him an offensive linemen down the line. We shall see on that one but this East TN prospect’s best shot at making it into the college game is with his run blocking and intermediate pass catching upside. New Senior Clips
